  • good product
Style: Creader Elite 2.0 FGC
I’ve been using the LAUNCH X431 Creader Elite 2.0 Pro for a bit now, and it’s honestly exceeded my expectations for the price. Setup was straightforward, and the touchscreen is responsive and easy to navigate without feeling cheap or laggy. It pulls codes quickly and gives detailed information that actually helps diagnose issues instead of just pointing out a fault. The bi-directional controls and live data are especially useful and feel like features you’d normally need a much more expensive scanner to get. I’ve used it on multiple vehicles so far, and compatibility hasn’t been an issue. Updates are simple to install and don’t feel like a hassle, which is a big plus. Overall, it feels like a solid, dependable tool that’s worth the money for both DIY work and more serious automotive diagnostics. ... show more

  • Roll the dice
I like the 6001 creader ability to view vvt timing properly on my Nissan's, Toyotas and Mazdas so far. Emissions checking works mostly, except with Toyotas evap, because it's purposely engineered to be a pain. The interface, a good bit slow when viewing all PIDs at once but I found benefit to limiting to just a few PIDs at a time. Graphing works well. Better than any play store app, considering flagship phones capabilities today, it's sad that a $30 scanner offers so much more than they're giving us anywhere else. Customer support was responsive, I contacted them b4 trying to find a responsible supplier or distributor to buy direct- but they've done a good job at separating markets so only the customer gets the De... But it's as I expected it would be. All features functional. 14 Toyota Highlander only has 54~ PIDs available when I know the vehicle had North of 150 just viewing engine pcm along. I wish this scanner told u how many modules it had. Gateway , or are/and, anti theft. Overall this is a good scanner for the$ but it's only painting u a portion of a large picture for newer vehicle utilizing hi and lo speed canbus ... show more

  • Great for DIYers As an experienced assessor
The media could not be loaded. Great for DIYers As an experienced assessor, this OBD tool is certainly not the first that I own and test, but still, I think it’s worthy to be recommended because of its simple operation, full functions and thoughtful design. As you can see the packaging of this tool is very simple, just a transparent plastic cover. And since it’s a self-contain scanner, apart from the device itself, there is only a USB cable, which allows you to connect the scanner to your computer and get online updating. And there are also covers to protect the OBD2 connector port and the USB port. This design is pretty thoughtful. The car in the video is my 2017 Ford Fusion. Since it’s relatively new and running normally, I disconnect the sensor artificially so it will produce trouble codes. And when come back into the car and push the ENGINE START button, the check engine light is on. Just plug the device in and it will start. To read codes, first you need to choose the “Diagnose” function. It costs seconds to process, and it will show the monitor status. After choosing READ CODES function, you can see there are 4 trouble codes in all. Two of them are current codes and the rests are pending codes. This scanner shows not only the DTCs, but also the straightforward and brief explanations. So you don’t need to look up for their meanings on the internet. If you are curious about what it is, you can hit the question mark button on the device and it will give you a detail report of the issue. This button could tell you what the trouble code means and what the possible causes may be, which is very helpful. To test the Erase Codes function, I plug the sensor back in so the issues should be solved theoretically. And please note that if you want to erase codes you need to turn the ignition on with engine off. And after choosing ERASE CODES, you can see that the trouble code has been cleared on the instrument board. Since reading and erasing codes are the most basic functions of a OBD2 scanner, this device really does a good job, and I’m pretty sure that most of you will be satisfied with its user experience. There are 9 functions in all of the diagnose tool. Except for reading and erasing codes, it also contains I/M readiness, data stream, freeze frame, O2 sensor test, on-board monitoring, EVAP system and vehicle information. From my point of view, it already contains all the functions that a DIYer needs. I/M readiness is to test the emission system and to figure out whether the vehicle accords with the national emission standard. And this device offers you two options. The first one is Since DTCs Cleared, which indicates status of monitors since the DTCs are erased. And the other one is This Drive Cycle, which indicates status of monitors since the beginning of the current drive cycle. Moreover, what I want to mention is that you can view data stream in a graphic way, which makes the data more visual and clear. Generally speaking, CR6001 is not over-complicated, which ensures the average users to figure out how to operate it themselves. Through the test I would believe it’s a trusty tool and it is great for diagnosing your own vehicles. ... show more

I recently picked up the LAUNCH X431 Creader Elite 2.0 FGC OBD2 Scanner, and it’s quickly become an essential tool in my garage. It’s designed for Ford, GM, and Chrysler vehicles, including my 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan, and it does a fantastic job with diagnostics across all systems. One of the standout features is the number of services available. From basic OBD2 readings to advanced functions like ECU coding, this scanner has it all. I recently used it to troubleshoot a cam sensor issue in my Grand Caravan, and it helped me pinpoint the problem quickly. The Variable Valve Timing (VVT) functions were particularly useful in resolving that issue. The AutoVin feature is a major time-saver too; it automatically identifies my vehicle, so I can dive straight into diagnostics without any hassle. Plus, the lifetime updates mean I’ll always have access to the latest features and vehicle coverage. The interface is user-friendly, making it easy to navigate through options. Whether I’m performing basic checks or tackling more complex diagnostics, this tool has proven to be super reliable. Overall, I’m really happy with my purchase.
