My husband LOVES this paddle!! It's sort of a funny story. I know NOTHING about pickle ball but I ordered this paddle for my husband who plays semi regularly. I decided during prime days to do something for him since he doesn't do anything for himself. I originally saw & was interested in some paddles that were sold in couples. I thought, hey, they're on sale basically two for one; so why not?? But then I started investigating & reading reviews. REVIEWS ARE ESSENTIAL & SO VERY HELPFUL!! I learned that those paddles were basically for beginners or novice players. Upon further review, I found that Selkirk was one of the top brands for experienced players. The first game with the new paddle, he and his partner won, 11-0. He likes the paddle's playability, touch and spin capabilities, and thinks it's a great fit for his game. Again, I cannot stress enough how important everyone's review's (you know, the ones who actually know something about the product; unlike me) are to make decisions on products. Why did you pick this product vs others?: Discovered this was one of the leading names in paddles & affordablility Grip: suitable for his game along with backhand shots Size: while it was a little larger than paddles he has used in the past, it was easy to adjust to. Spin: paddle surface is a little rough which allows him to put more spin on the ball; which he like A LOT Durability: so far so good; yet to be seen Feel: very comfortable Control: he prefers control over power & this is a perfect paddle for him

As a beginner this is an upgrade paddle for me. It does give more control and it has a good light feel. The sweet spot is larger than the Joola I was using before. Grip feels sure. Paddle is light and easily played. My only complaint so far is that the quality is a little off as you can feel the carbon fibre texture is smooth on one side right at the center of the paddle.
