My daughter just turned 5 and got really big into make up. This is the perfect starter kit. It is not overwhelming and has mainly eye shadow and blushes. There is some lip gloss and it suits her perfectly. Definitely a great first make up kit for young girls

This makeup box is very pretty and classy. I saw it and figured I'd want to get it to have on hand as a Christmas gift for one of my sisters (I start getting Christmas presents early in the year). I love how it looks, and opening it is a fun experience as all of the drawers open at once to display the makeup within when you lift the lid. Being a beginner kit, it comes with a little manual telling you how to apply the various things like concealer, blush, highlighter, eyeshadow, lipstick, etc. It has pictures for the eyeshadow directions and the lipstick, pencil, and lip gloss but none for the rest of the makeup, just written instructions. The written instructions are quite detailed though, for instance, under CONTOUR it says: Diagonally at the hollow of your cheeks Sides of your nose from the bridge straight down Below your hairline Directly on your jawline and under your chin So that's pretty clear. It also comes with tiny makeup brushes and little Q-tip like makeup applicators (sort of like the ones I remember coming with makeup kits as a child.) The only problem I have with this kit is that, since the drawers don't come out all of the way, the ones underneath the others are a bit covered by the ones one top. That makes it more difficult to get things out and it would be more of a hassle to dip the brushes and q-tips in some of the blush and bronzer/concealer/foundation as some of them are so far under the top drawer. It's a bit of a hassle to remove the plastic trays and it would be rather inconvenient to do each time. But I think that this was anticipated and that is why the brushes and Q-tip like things are so small, so that they'll fit underneath. Once you do take out the plastic trays, the drawers can be used for your own makeup, the lining of the drawers feels like some sort of fabric. I do think the quality of the case overall is quite good. All in all, I really like this kit.

This is really a perfect set for young girls starting to use makeup, it has everything they need to start out and comes with a very helpful booklet that has instructions on how to apply makeup. The case reminds me of a modern version of a Caboodle but with the makeup already included. It has a soft outside to the case and opens easily to display all of the makeup immediately available at hand. Lip gloss, lipstick, eyeshadow, etc. it has all the basics in very classy basic colors. The portability is good too, you don't have to bother putting all of your makeup into a case as it's already in there and it's in there pretty good and won't bounce around. The quality of the makeup is really good as well, I myself as an adult and a mom would love to use some of it! It's clever, I like it, would make a perfect gift for a pre teen or young teen just starting out with learning how to apply makeup.

This is a super cute makeup set. I like the case. What I didnât notice from the picture is the box itself has a slight glitter/shimmer to it. Thatâs slightly little girl-ish so if this is for a teen maybe an option other than pink would look slightly more grownup. When you open the case the drawers open automatically. What I didnât love is the makeup palettes are in there really really tight and theyâre difficult to remove & return. This is a problem on the lower drawers especially. This wonât be much problem with the bottom items since you can take them out and put them back in loose but the other layers will probably be an issue. There are no hard plastic tops for the powdery makeup so they either have to keep the cheap flexible plastic lids or they will probably end up making a mess inside. Smaller individual palettes, a wider box with deeper drawers and/or hard closing makeup cases are all better alternatives. The case will work nicely for travel or dorm life with different makeup or even jewelry after these products are gone, but the products and case donât work well together.

I gifted this kit to my daughter, and she was very happy. The box is pretty good quality, and it was clean as well, it comes with a small key which locks the kit, no idea why you would need to lock it but its still cute. The makeup isnât the best quality but thats a given. Comes with everything you would need for your kid to play around. The box isnt too big or heavy either.

I love that it has a key and lock-who needs to lock up their makeup? I got the white one it has a quilted leather look. This kit has a nice assortment of stuff. It surely has something for everyone.
