Good pump at a good price...recommend it.
Color: Black Round Size: 13"×9"-5300
Took two tries but I got a good working keeper. Pumps a lot of water quietly and efficiently. As good as much more expensive pumps. Not sure about the durability, so I purchased the 3-year insurance policy. I would buy this item again.

Good product at good price with good warranty service
Color: Black Round Size: 13"×9"-5300
I have had my garden pond with two water falls for almost 20 years. The pumps have limited time spans, usually no more than 3 to 5 years. As a result, I have gone through quite a few pumps. About two years ago, I checked a few low cost pumps with one year warranty sold on Amazon. Because these pumps are inexpensive, I thought if they can work more than one year, it will be worth it. I tried three pumps with different brands. One of them was broken just after one year. The other did not work satisfactory but my attempt to get it replaced was not successful. This Vivosun pump worked for over a year without problem. As it is out of warranty, I bought another two in 2021 and leave it as a back-up unit. Recently, one of them started showing some strange behavior. Even though I made sure there is no debris inside the volute chamber around the impeller, the water output rate became lower and sometimes it would stop then restart again. In one morning, I noticed that the GFCI circuit breaker got tripped and the two pump stopped working. I determined that it is the problem of the pump with strange behavior lately and replaced it with the spare pump. Then everything works fine. After I brought it back to my garage, I measured the pump with a multimeter and found its internal resistance was only less then 5 Ohms while the same good pump is over 10 Ohms. It was obvious to me that the pump had some shortage in its motor windings. I contacted Vivosun customer service. After told them the problem by showing the photo that the winding resistance is low, they determined it is indeed the problem of their pump. In three days, they told me that as it is under warranty, they would refund the price that I paid back to Amazon and I don't need to send the pump back. This experience was better than what I had expected. I feel that I can trust them on the product and the customer service. The other two pumps from them works fine with no problems. The water output rates are what I can expect for pumps with a power rating of about 300 Watts. Cleaning these pumps is also quite simple. Overall, I am happy about this product (Vivosun 5300GPH). I also feel that I can trust their warranty service. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a low price submersible pump at this water output. I will give update in a few months about their conditions. ... show more

Awesome power and price

Works awesome for our homemade pond and wine barrel refresher!! Super powerful for the size and price! I read the reviews closely and made sure to get the wider hose and it’s working great—about 2 weeks in.

Do not run dry. Expect about 2/3rds rated GPH
Color: Black Round Size: 13"×9"-5300
NEVER run this or any other submersible pump dry! They do not have oil lubricated bearings. The space around the rotor fills with water. The bearings & shaft are ceramic & are lubricated & cooled by WATER. No water, no lubrication! Vivosun pumps put out about 2/3rds of rated volume. This is actually a 3600 GPH pump which is still impressive. I measured. It fills a 5 gallon bucket in 5 seconds with no head. My last one finally shorted out after 4 years & I am buying another today. ... show more

UPDATE - I've been through several, like most pumps they last about 1 year at 24hours a day 7 days a week. I still give them 5 stars. The one I recieved yesterday even came with a included mesh bag to keep it from clogging. I've had about 5-6 of them now. Fair price for a year of use. Aug 28th 2024. I'm on my 4th pump. I typically get them to last 1 to 1.4 years. Worth it to buy a new one for a year's worth on my fountain. Until this last pump. (4th one) it stopped. Was installed around June 1st. (total 3 months working). I went out to check the outlet for power (GFI) and with power tester the outlet has power. I ran the tester along the cord and it stops about 1/2 way to the pump. ????? No kinks or signs of anything at this point on the cord? IT JUST STOPS Power tester shows power in cord then a inch up no power in cord. A SHORT it would seem by why? I bent and wiggled the cord and nothing. So - defective. = ( UPDATE - 9-8-24 Customer service was outstanding. They heard of my problem and offered me a complete refund of the price I paid on Amazon. WOW. I had already ordered a replacement so it worked out great. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Original first review. I paid about double for another pump that would last 1.5 years. Tired of replacing them at that price. so I tried this one. Substantially less cost and a little less power. Still power level is fine for our huge fountain. It's lasted the first year.... we'll see how well it fires up next spring and works next year. So far pleased. AT 100 a year that's not so bad if it last 12 mo. My other pump was 259 and lasted about 12 mo. ORIGINAL REVIEW - been pleased they last a but over a year for under 99.00 Worth it to me. It's now been a year and stumbled into this order on amazon. I see its around 30.00 less than I paid last year so I'm buying another backup for the shelf. ... show more

Great pump! Better than more expensive brands.
Color: Black Round Size: 13"×9"-5300
This pump seriously throws some water! I nought this cheaper pump on Amazon to replace a $400 name-brand pump in my pond. It outperforms the more expensive pump easily. Seems well-made too. Very pleased!

So far so good
Color: Black Round Size: 13"×9"-5300
UPDATE: They are ignoring my warranty request and will not respond to emails. Amazon will do nothing to help but run me around in circles. DO NOT BUY THIS PUMP. It will work fine for a while and when it craps out, you are on your own. UPDATE: Just a little after 3 months running and the pump totally crapped out. I'm very disappointed. I waited for a month to review this in case it crapped out. It hasn't so far. First I'll cover the pros: Really powerful. I replaced my Savio WMC2220 pump. After 10 years of continuous service, it finally died so I bought this one, mainly because of the high GPH it boasted and because it has 2 feet more head head pressure. At 5300 GPH this pump really proves it. It's much more powerful. It has a 1 year warranty on everything. True, the Savio had a 3 year warranty, but it also cost twice as much for less GPH. Cons: While the body castings are clean and feel durable there are many qualities lacking. For one, it is impossible to rotate the outlet. There is no set screw to hold the filter basket and impeller cover to the body. As I said, my Savio lasted 10 years with no maintenance at all, running 24X7X365, I'm just hoping this one lasts 3. ... show more
