THE FAN WAS EASY TO INSTALL. I DID NOT NEED ALL THE HARDWARE THEY SENT DUE TO ALREADY HAVING A CEILING FAN BEFORE THIS ONE. IT WAS NICE TO HAVE THE ADDITIONAL HARDWARE IN CASE IT WAS NEEDED. I GOT THIS IN THE HOPES OF NOT NEEDING A NORMAL CEILING FAN AND AN ADDITIONAL HONEYWELL BOX LIKE FAN BLOWING ON ME AT NIGHT. FOR THIS PURPOSE IT WORKS GREAT. I PLACE IT ON SPEED 6 AND IT BLOWS DOWN ONTO MY BED AND I HAVE NOT NEEDED THE OTHER HONEYWELL FAN SINCE. OF COURSE THE HIGHEST AIRFLOW IS DIRECTLY UNDER THE FAN BUT IT SPREADS OUT ENOUGH TO THOROUGHLY COOL ME WHILE I AM SLEEPING. Its enclosed structure not only looks sleek but also feels safer—especially for rooms with lower ceilings. The quiet DC motor operates so smoothly that I sometimes forget it’s even on, which is a huge plus for light sleepers like me.
