This bag is not as thick material then other bags as most are double sewn fabric but it is still a pretty good material.It has well sewn seams. It is see through when held to a window and that means it will let air (and unfortunately dust) through which lets the shredded material accumulate deep into the bag. That's a plus. The cinch string is of good quality with cinch locks on it that will hold everything well into place and prevents the bag from coming off when in use. It is not 24x48 inch but rather 22x45 inch. It seems to me durable enough that it will last a while. It depends also on what you shred as woody material makes these bags last not as long as if you only shred leaves. This wood chipper bag is just what I needed to prevent my chips/leaf debris from blowing all over the place - and inadvertently digging a hole in the dirt - while using my chipper. The bag is a manageable size, and is made of sturdy/thick polyester mesh fabric. The seams are double -sewn - neat and strong - and the drawstring pocket is reinforced. The drawstring is braided nylon - pretty thin, could definitely be more robust - with two double-sided metal clips that really hold the string firmly. The bag fits to my chipper’s output tube easily. I haven’t cranked up the chipper yet this season to test out the bag, but will update the review if there is any issues. ... show more

    • Wood Chipper Bag Works Great With My Leaf Mulcher.

I've been using a barrel style string leaf mulcher for several years and have been using plastic bags to collect the mulch. Even using heavy duty bags I go through a lot of them in the process so I decided to try this alternative polyester nylon mesh bag. First of all, it fits well on the mulcher and is easy to attach to the barrel, the rope locks make it easy to tighten. It collects a great volume of mulch without tearing or breaking and then I can transport the mulched leaves to my garden. This wood chipper bag is super soft and lightweight. It attaches easily to my wood chipper and has metal locks to help keep it in place. It is durable and the edges are embroidered well. This bag holds a decent amount of wood chips that makes it convenient and saves a lot of work on my back.
