    • Awesome, sturdy, corner facing desk!

First of all, it's a corner facing desk! Props for that. 99.9% of L shaped corner desks, you're supposed to sit on one end or the other, not facing the center corner. I like the extra leg room and being able to stick a footstool under the desk and having my legs stick through the back of the desk, and that can only happen... in the corner. Else the wall is in the way. Or, you have to have the desk pulled away from the wall, taking up more space. Plus I like having the extra desk space on either side of me, and this desk certainly has that. It has plenty of room for my Super Geek setup. I have a gaming PC, Ultrawide Monitor, 34" TV, PS4, PS3, Xbox, N64, Super Nintendo, and Nintendo Switch all on this desk. Secondly, this desk is sturdy. I have an 80 lb, liquid cooled, beast of a gaming PC, and I had no qualms about placing it up on the desk, and knowing it would be fine. Hell, I'd have felt comfortable standing on the damn thing. I've bought several corner facing desks trying to find one to fit all my criteria and this is the only desk I've had succeed. And a sturdy desk is one thing I was worried about, but this met and exceeded my expectations. That sturdiness comes with a cost, it took a long time to assemble. There are a lot of bolts needing placed and tightened. And it was quite the time consuming process. But well worth it. I read a lot of reviews about poor instructions and inferior manufacturing, I can only assume user error for the most part, or they were unlucky. The instructions weren't perfect though, it missed some steps about using particular bolts in one or two spots, which if you don't know what you're doing might cause problems. And at the end, it said use one type of bolt, when actually the other one is needed. But other than that, it was pretty easy to follow. As for packaging, I can see how things might get damaged in shipping, but that's the case with anything I think. I thought it was pretty remarkable how well this desk was shipped in such a small box. Whomever came up with the packaging, is a 3D Tetris master. I thought it was quite impressive how much space they managed to utilize. I love the style. The color of the Black Oak wood design is beautiful I think. If I had any criticism of the product for the manufacturers, it would be: 1) Take some time and improve the assembly instructions. 2) Send some better quality tools to assemble it. I bought this desk to replace a smaller standing desk I had, because I didn't have a enough room for a three monitor set-up and I wanted something to sit in the corner. For the price, this really checked a lot of things off my needs. > Assembly: If you follow the instructions - which I did this on my own in about three hours - take your time and read - you should not have a problem, however some parts didn't line up quite right the first time, but a simple untighten, brace and retighten aligns things well. Overall the frame and the particle board came packaged and damage free. > I saw people complained of gaps between the wing panels and the central panel. I didn't have that experience, the wooden pegs fit in just fine, and the gap is very miniscule on my desk, also have a gaming mat covering most of the desktop so not like I see it anyways. > I used a power drill with a hex bit on the lowest settings possible to help speed things up - no issues with this - if you're not power tool savy, they give you basic tools in the kit - I just have diminshed hand strenth and using a power drill made sure things were bolted down correctly. Overall it fits the three monitors I use for work (one of them is my main gaming screen that is curved.) The finish looks great. I added additional LED strip lights behind it and it looks great. I'll update with pics after I clean up my office. But overall if you're looking for a spacious desk that doesn't break the bank, I'd recommend this for sure! ... show more

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this desk or not, but I LOVE it. I love the marble top design and the shelves on each side that fit books and my printer. It is bigger than I expected but I that doesn't bother me, I need a large space to work at. I like that there is plenty of room on the desktop without it feeling cluttered. My only fuss is that this was a BEAST to put together by myself. I did lay out all the pieces and arranged them in numerical order first, which helped. You have to read the directions CAREFULLY or pieces will be put together backwards or upside down. I ended up placing the 9&10 pieces with the bolts facing up, got all the way to the end (putting the desktop on) and realized I would have to take that whole things apart to rotate the piece so the desk tops would sit flush against the bar. Once you get going though, it comes together pretty quickly. There are a lot of parts and pieces so staying organized is key while putting this together. Other than that small gripe, I love this desk and actually want to work on work stuff at home :) I highly recommend this item. ... show more

I have been looking for a sewing table that can hold all three of my machines (a serger, a regular sewing machine and an embroidery machine) that didn't cost an arm and a leg and wasn't too big, for very long time. I found a sewing table that sort of worked for two machines but the pull out "shelf" had zero leg room so I had to sit sideways whenever I needed to use my serger. Definitely not ideal. And I had to keep moving the machines around as necessary since there was not room for all three at once. The big Koala cabinets are amazing but they are so expensive and they take up so much room and they really don't accommodate 3 machines very well. I was so happy to find this one. It is perfect! Well, almost perfect. I would have preferred that it had drawers on the sides instead of shelves, but I will be able to make it work. Most corner desks have an "L" shape where the sides come together which makes it difficult to put a machine there. This desk has a flat section which provides a perfect location for a third machine. Assembly wasn't too difficult. It took about 3 hours but I did it completely by myself. Well, almost...I'll get to that shortly. The parts were well marked and the directions were fairly clear. I didn't have any problems with the actual assembly. The reviewer who mentioned that the wings go in the back was helpful but I think I would have figured it out anyway. The correct screws were identified for each step. Not sure why some of the other reviewers had problems. The only part I had a hard time with was in the final step where you had to attach the desk tops to the frame. That was very difficult to do by myself so I had to get my boyfriend to help. I needed another set of hands to hold the flashlight so we could line up the holes in the tops and the frames and get the screws started in the holes. We were finally able to get all of the holes lined up and screws inserted, except for one. But, it is secured to the frame so well I don't think we will ever miss it. If you are a seamstress with multiple machines, this is the table for you! ... show more

We bought this to replace what you see in the first photo which we have had for many years. That one served it's purpose as a personal space but when it became apparent that my wife would be working from home permanently she needed more working area. For starters this desk sets closer to the corner and allows for more usable area directly in front of the monitors. Since she uses two monitors as well as her laptop we went with the AMERIERGO Triple Monitor Stand Riser because of the ability to angle the two outside risers. This made it very easy to fit to the angled area of the new desk. This also gave us a place to put the docking station under the right riser out of the way. The assembly is not difficult but you have to pay attention to be sure as you build it on the floor you don't get the orientation of some parts incorrect. As others have said, be sure to put parts 13 &14 on the back side of the frame so all the holes in the top will properly line up. You will know you did this right when the angled cuts in those parts fit against the back legs. leave everything just snug enough to keep moving with the assembly but be sure all the holes for the wood pieces line up. Then go around and tighten things randomly as you would a rim on a car. I pushed the tops together a couple times as I was tightening things to keep the seams tight. All in all we are both very happy with this desk as well as the 3 section riser which is plenty strong and useful. ... show more

    • Gorgeous corner-facing desk!

Its not often that you find a corner-facing desk such as this. Its totally perfect! Once completed, I am extremely happy with this product. The building of this desk spanned about 2.5 hours, and was a bit of a cluster. The directions to put this together don't have a lot of descriptions. It labels the pieces and screws & shows you where to put them all, but with no explanation. There was a moment of frustration when my partner was trying to put the crossbars for the corner on and it was pushing the rest of the frame out. Looking VERY closely at the pictures we then figured out that we screwed in the crossbars incorrectly, and after the correction, the rest of the desk went together perfectly. As for space, I have a large curved monitor and two laptops that fit on this desk with plenty of elbow room to spare. I'm also rather tall and there is ample room underneath if you want to place a footrest or use for extra storage. Overall, I'm totally in love! TLDR: Desk is huge, really awesome, and sturdy. Being able to customize the shelves to fit a computer tower is easy. May be a bit of a project to put together but well worth the result! ... show more

This is such a gorgeous desk and the quality is great for the price. It feels sturdy and professional! The assembly wasn't too bad, I did it on my own in about 2 hours with no extra tools other than what was provided in the box. The only feedback that I have for buyers is to leave all bolts that secure the desk top to the base loose until you have it all together. I ended up with a small gap between two of the pieces and I got very worried for a second but after I loosened the bolts and pushed them together while tightening them, it fixed that problem! Im not sure what im more at awe with, the absolute trash state of the bulging box that UPS threw at me OR that the desk was unscathed! I went ahead and checked the pieces, all were there except for one shelf :( but i decided to put it together. LOVE IT, beautiful, feels solid and sturdy, spacious, took about 2 hours to put together by myself. NO GAP(pc13 and 14 go on the outside) I cant be more happy, definitely worth the money ... show more
