    • Awesome, sturdy, corner facing desk!

First of all, it's a corner facing desk! Props for that. 99.9% of L shaped corner desks, you're supposed to sit on one end or the other, not facing the center corner. I like the extra leg room and being able to stick a footstool under the desk and having my legs stick through the back of the desk, and that can only happen... in the corner. Else the wall is in the way. Or, you have to have the desk pulled away from the wall, taking up more space. Plus I like having the extra desk space on either side of me, and this desk certainly has that. It has plenty of room for my Super Geek setup. I have a gaming PC, Ultrawide Monitor, 34" TV, PS4, PS3, Xbox, N64, Super Nintendo, and Nintendo Switch all on this desk. Secondly, this desk is sturdy. I have an 80 lb, liquid cooled, beast of a gaming PC, and I had no qualms about placing it up on the desk, and knowing it would be fine. Hell, I'd have felt comfortable standing on the damn thing. I've bought several corner facing desks trying to find one to fit all my criteria and this is the only desk I've had succeed. And a sturdy desk is one thing I was worried about, but this met and exceeded my expectations. That sturdiness comes with a cost, it took a long time to assemble. There are a lot of bolts needing placed and tightened. And it was quite the time consuming process. But well worth it. I read a lot of reviews about poor instructions and inferior manufacturing, I can only assume user error for the most part, or they were unlucky. The instructions weren't perfect though, it missed some steps about using particular bolts in one or two spots, which if you don't know what you're doing might cause problems. And at the end, it said use one type of bolt, when actually the other one is needed. But other than that, it was pretty easy to follow. As for packaging, I can see how things might get damaged in shipping, but that's the case with anything I think. I thought it was pretty remarkable how well this desk was shipped in such a small box. Whomever came up with the packaging, is a 3D Tetris master. I thought it was quite impressive how much space they managed to utilize. I love the style. The color of the Black Oak wood design is beautiful I think. If I had any criticism of the product for the manufacturers, it would be: 1) Take some time and improve the assembly instructions. 2) Send some better quality tools to assemble it. I spent hours looking through Amazon for the perfect corner desk that would utilize the corner space that normal L-shape desk don't utilize. This design was prefect! I can utilize the corner section and the sides with plenty of space from depth and width, even with 2 27' curved monitors! Only took an hour to put together, clear instructions, made very well. I have nothing bad to say about this desk. First of all, none of the product came damaged, used, or missing parts. Naturally, the box was pretty beat up because…UPS; however, I thought the desk was packaged pretty well with styrofoam and plastic corner protectors on the edges of the wood to protect even further. Additionally, I would highly suggest to follow the instructions exactly as it’s written. Don’t tighten the bolts until the end, lay your pieces out, etc…I built the entire thing by myself and it took me 2-3 hours. Finally, I love the way it turned out. Very, very, very sturdy and super sleek. There’s lots of room on the desk. I use it for my music studio and where I also do my online school. I would have given it 5 stars but it was a bit of a struggle to get together. The directions we pretty good and I was able to get it all together, however, you put the frame together first then the top. This is what I struggled with. It was very difficult to get all the holes lined up. I ended up having to loosen a lot of the screws on the frame to line it up to get the top on. Another tip, I ended up flipping the whole thing over ( top on the floor), which help me to secure the top to the frame, as there were some hard to reach spots! All in all it’s sturdy, gives me lots of room to work and it looks great! ... show more

I bought this desk to replace a smaller standing desk I had, because I didn't have a enough room for a three monitor set-up and I wanted something to sit in the corner. For the price, this really checked a lot of things off my needs. > Assembly: If you follow the instructions - which I did this on my own in about three hours - take your time and read - you should not have a problem, however some parts didn't line up quite right the first time, but a simple untighten, brace and retighten aligns things well. Overall the frame and the particle board came packaged and damage free. > I saw people complained of gaps between the wing panels and the central panel. I didn't have that experience, the wooden pegs fit in just fine, and the gap is very miniscule on my desk, also have a gaming mat covering most of the desktop so not like I see it anyways. > I used a power drill with a hex bit on the lowest settings possible to help speed things up - no issues with this - if you're not power tool savy, they give you basic tools in the kit - I just have diminshed hand strenth and using a power drill made sure things were bolted down correctly. Overall it fits the three monitors I use for work (one of them is my main gaming screen that is curved.) The finish looks great. I added additional LED strip lights behind it and it looks great. I'll update with pics after I clean up my office. But overall if you're looking for a spacious desk that doesn't break the bank, I'd recommend this for sure! ... show more

Needed a desk that would fit the space allowed, and had metal legs as the desk will straddle a baseboard heater. This met every requirement and is also a nice looking piece in the office. Finish on all pieces was good and I was able to assemble the whole unit by myself in about an hour and a half. Had all the hardware - even one extra of each - Bravo! You're not getting museum-quality furniture here, but it's sturdy, very functional, and looks great, even though it is already covered with equipment, paperwork, etc. Side shelves won't hold anything larger than a small printer, router, etc., or books and paperwork, but handy to have any available storage space.
