I paid full price for this and this is my honest review. I like this scoop. I got it yesterday and used it for the first time to clean out my run. Size is great, holes are perfect for picking up poo, feathers, small rocks, etc. I have a very unlevel dirt run so I still have to use a smaller rake for the unlevel areas but this scoops everything up perfectly. Dumps easliy into a 5 gal bucket and dump right into compost (except rocks). Sturdy, easy to use, very decent quality. Very easy to assemble as well. Very happy with my purchase.

I know this is advertised as a chicken coop scooper, but I actually picked it up to use at the beach to father sea shells and it worked great! I was able to use it right at the water line, every time a wave came in it was easy to dig in and the let the water was away the sand to uncover tons of small shells. The big bonus for me was I was able to use it to catch sand fleas to use as bait! It is an ideal size and weight for this use, just make sure you rinse it off afterward, you don't want any rust developing from the saltwater. For my purposes, this is a great find.

The 2-in-1 Chicken Poop Scooper & Rake is big enough to efficiently clean a chicken coop and run. I already had a rake for cleaning the coop but it had wires across the scoop area, which let most of the feathers and poop fall through and did a poor job of cleaning. When I saw this design I had to try it. The holes are in a grid pattern in a metal tray. They do a much better job of catching the material I don't want in the coop. They are small enough to let small pieces of poop through, but catch bigger waste, feathers, rocks and sticks. The coop floor looks much cleaner after using it. The assembly was easy ad the scoop seems sturdy; it didn't have any trouble pushing through the dirt in the coop while scooping. I like that the handle can be built to 4 different lengths so I can clean in tight spaces. It's light for it's size and works well. I found that the more I sifted, the more material fell through the holes. So when used with very little sifting, it gets more material off the coop floor, while heavy sifting is good for removing larger pieces. I also used it to clean up dog poop after the coop was clean. It holds a lot of poop and can get quite heavy when full. I used the claws to dig through the grass to get the poop up, and it was pretty effective.

I like the size of the scoop but it is heavy to use and the side broke off after 2-3 uses. I thought it would be better made since it is so heavy but the broken side and the bent tine on the rake part was disappointing. The scoop is difficult to use, it is hard to scoop more than the top layer of sand in our coop because the connection of the scoop to the handle is bendy. Overall, I would not order this product again and we have ordered a different scoop to use for our coop.

Decided I would try out this 2 in 1 chicken poop scooper. The one I have now is too light and I'm always struggling to get up under the hay and shake and poop to get enough on the shovel. So first off I will tell you this is a very well-made shovel. It's made of stainless steel. The basket is really solid and has a little weight to it and is 12” wide. I love the teeth at the end of the basket. These grab onto stuff very easily. You can also use the end of the basket to rake back the coop which I like! Large enough holes in the basket so you can shake it and separate the poop. The pole is adjustable for different heights which is a great feature and it also has sponge grips down the pole to grab onto. So you don't get blisters. The ergonomically shaped handle is a godsend. Got one of these handles on a snow shovel last year and I loved it! Saw this had one and said, “ I have to have it!” The company gives you the Allan wrench to put the pole in the basket. You don't want to pick up sand with this shovel. ( ha - ha!) You wouldn't get very far! But it will do the job in the chicken coop! Easy to clean off with a hose. Reasonable price point, well-made product!

Nice build quality and doesn't feel weak or unstable. Holes are big enough to shift out the dirt and rocks and just leave the poop in the scooper. The handle can be screwed to it's normal length or can unscrew some of the rods to make it shorter if you need to use it in a small tight space. Overall it's been working good for me to clean out the chicken coop and it hasn't bend or broken in anyway yet.

The Scoop/Rake part is Huge and heavy and sturdy. The handle does not match that quality. The handle does not support the weight of the scoop. And because of that it makes using it a bit awkward. Balancing the weight takes a bit. The scoop does cover a wide area and does the job. Would be much better with a more solid quality pole. With the first use, the poles started to twist apart and bend slightly and we were lightly raking sand. Not sure how well it will hold up when it is actually put to work doing a job it is intended for, and for any length of time. Having to screw the poles back together and adjust for the bending, I can’t see this being something that will last.
