I found it odd the seller chose to leave a note telling us to email them for an instructional video when including an instruction booklet would mitigate the confusion. I found a video of an almost identical product on YouTube and went from there. I have only lit this fireplace insert a couple times and have had no issues and did not experience the annoying sound some of the reviews mentioned...perhaps it happens with propane whereas we have natural gas. Overall, this appears to be a decent product but a little help upfront from the seller (like most manufacturers) would have most likely earned them an extra star. Maybe hire an intern with at least high school level writing skills and produce some instructions. ... show more

The basic pan works well, but if using LP gas, the gas screams through the line and the air valve allows some gas to escape with a noticable gas smell.
