I'm not sure if they offer the 5 foot hose as a sample or if people really find themselves in need of a 5 foot hose, but this works for us to get the mud off of the dogs before piling into the car to go back to the AirBnB after a day playing on the farm. It's lightweight, connects easily and thoroughly, doesn't seem to kink (it's not really long enough to try to coil -- which is a benefit in and of itself -- so I can't comment on it's "coilability), and doesn't leak. If there's one thing that will get me cursing like a sailor, it's hoses (yes, it's true). While I do now have an absolute favorite (and this isn't it, which isn't a commentary on this very nice -- albeit short -- hose), this one is surprisingly close.

Nice quality hose, good connectors, includes the rubber gaskets. Good internal diameter for great water flow. The hose is very soft but doesn’t collapse. It bends very nicely and doesn’t seem to be easy to kink, but I didn’t try to purposely kink it. I am using this as a connector between the rain barrel and the splitter and love the internal diameter that lets water flow very well. I don’t know how this would do with a really strong house pressure, say above 70 psi, but it should be fine for a normal household pressure of 55 to 65 psi. (City water pressures are usually about 80psi from the city pupes and use a pressure regulator unside the house to dial down the pressure to a normal house-friendly 60 psi.) If you don’t know your house water pressure, you can get a simple and cheap water pressure gauge from a local “big box” store.

We needed a short piece of hose as an extension so that we could add a splitter farther from the house. It has been outside for a few months now and holding up well. I don't expect any problems with this 5 foot 5/8 inch flexible hose. We are probably underutilizing this durable extension hose. It feels well made and we would recommend it to others. I am giving it 4 stars because it meets expectations based on expectations.

I have 2 raised bed gardens with soaker hoses in each. I used this 5 foot hose connect the two soaker hoses to each other and to span the distance between the raised beds so that I have no wasted water outside of either raised bed. This is a great setup because it allows me to keep all my hoses lined up and not have my longer hoses taken up in the wrong spots. There are no leaks on either connection. This is exactly what I needed to help my garden thrive this season with so little effort! It came with a couple spare gaskets too which was also really helpful.

The 5-foot Sowgreen Hybrid Garden Hose is a high-quality hose, and it's a reasonable price for a hard-to-find size. A shorter length of hose like this one is handy to have around for filling buckets, watering potted plants on the patio, rinsing shoes off on the deck, etc. The hybrid construction consists of a 3-layer design of mixed materials for flexibility, strength, and longevity. This hose has solid brass fittings, with a male and female end. It comes with extra washers which is nice, because they always seem to wear out every season. It has rubber grips on the ends, which prevent the hose from severe kinking and bending at the spigot. The inside diameter is 5/8-inch, which fits standard spigots and accessories. It can hold a steady water pressure of 200 PSI. The hose is lightweight, easy to maneuver, and such a pretty blue color!

Great little hose whip, I was needing a short hose for a pump and for a way to empty a water heater. The hose is very light, very malleable and the brass fittings made connections smoothly. Having a short and flexible hose is easy to store and hook up when needed for those specific purposes. I'm sure there are lots of other uses aside from what I got this for, I can attest to the attention to details and the design. Aside from the brass fittings, the plastic end supports are great feature for longevity of the hose, especially with as flexible as this hybrid hose is.

I've never seen the point of hoses under 10 feet until I needed a hose under 10 feet and this hose was just right. Well, not just right, but it's not the hoses fault, I measured incorrectly. The flexibility of this hose saved me from my folly. I was able to position the hose just right, despite being slightly too short for my application of spanning between garden beds so that my soaker hoses don't flood my pathways. It feels durable and has nice brass fittings. Time will tell how durable it is, but so far, I am very pleased.

Great hose for smaller areas. It was really easy to connect to the spicket and I have had no issue so far with it leaking from the spout.
