This pan is so smooth and slick, we've only been cleaning it with a wet paper towel and hot water. Like any cast iron, be careful not to use soap or anything too harsh/scratchy to avoid damaging the nonstick surface. Scrambled eggs don't stand a chance! What I love about cast iron is that the surface can be reconditioned just by adding thin coats of oil and heating up the pan. This pan seems like it's great quality and will last a very long time.

I have several cast iron pans ranging from cheap to high-end and am familiar with using one. This is the first one that I have ordered that is pre-seasoned. The surface is very smooth as my other cast iron pans have a rougher surface. This is 12 inches and bigger than the standard cast iron pans of which most are 8 or 10 inches in diameter. It isn’t super heavy and so far has been nonstick as long as you don’t cook on super high heat. You can put this in the dishwasher but I never put any of my pans in the dishwasher. They are a pain to wash by hand and some nights I will have 4 to 5 pans that need to be hand washed, at my age I would rather not stand at the sink and wash pots and pans but I have learned over the years they last longer and look better if I keep them out of the dishwasher. I used this in the oven to make my cornbread and it did an excellent job as my cornbread is on the moist side and it did not stick but I also used my baker's flour spray. The cornbread cooked evenly so that is a plus with this pan. I also cooked steak in this skillet and it did an excellent job. We don’t have a grill any longer but the chef at The Palm Restaurant showed me how to cook a steak in a cast iron skillet and my husband who is very fussy when it comes to steak says it was excellent. My husband buys expensive USDA PRIME steaks at COSTCO and I am always afraid to ruin the meat. I don’t eat red meat so it can be hit or miss when cooking steak. But this skillet did a great job and is easier to clean than my 8-inch cast iron skillet. The handle is flat and different than any cast iron skillet I have used but I don’t find it difficult to use the handle. I will update my review after more use and if anything changes.

This Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet is by far, a good option for those who want to get a great product at affordable cost. I love the way it distributes evenly the heat through the entire pan. As it is pre-seasoned, food doesn’t stick on the surface, however it requires to be used a couple of times before getting the best results. My children love to make pancakes, eggs and grill burgers on it.

This pan surprised me as it was on sale so I was worried it would be a case of beware anything that looks to good to be true, as it almost always is. This pan was a pleasant surprise as it is as nice as any cast iron I've had, and I've had several as my family would camp for a living if we could! It comes pre seasoned, long handled so you can cook over a campfire and be able to pull it out of the fire without burning your hands. I've cooked chicken, fried potatoes, steak and upside down cake all over a campfire and it's holding its own! Buy this , you're going to be surprised! Nice pan! Be nice if it had a lid, but believe me I'm not complaining! Love it!
