The thickness and the quality of this pool underlayment is excellent. It is really tightly woven and it's going to do a wonderful job at keeping away the weeds. However, I'm using it to do some gardening in my backyard. I'm I'm creating an outdoor greenhouse, and I intend to utilize this to help keep away some of the growth. I am considering building a floor, so I may actually use this in the area that I'm building a shed to help kill the grass. It's so very nice and so tightly woven and I'm really excited about the size of it too! I'm certain that I'll find a lot of uses for it. In fact, I've already determined that this is going to be perfect for felting. Felting. Is it craft that can be done wet or dry. In our family? We do dry felting which has a barbed needle and you push colored wool into a surface to be felted. You can use the cotton batting out of a pillow or a polyester batting out of a pillow... Or in this case, we can cut out a piece and fit it into a picture frame and create a beautiful felted painting. Or we could create a felted doll's face. We could keep it gray or we could paint it any skin color with a watered down acrylic paint, and still leave some of the texture to easily break through, so we're not contending with thick acrylic paint. I'm certain this will work wonderfully for pools, but it does have other uses... And even as I say this, I also can tell you that it would work wonderfully as a blanket for camping or laying down in a tent, or for making a shade cover over a makeshift lean to or even a larger gazebo type of frame. I am surprised to say this, but I'm pretty excited about the possibilities for this large sheet of tightly woven, felted like material!

I bought this to have on hand for various projects. Mostly craft and sewing projects. This is very similar to a sewing/craft heavy weight felt. I took a picture of it still folded, stretched out on my cutting table. It unfolds to a much larger size. It is stiffer than a basic sewing felt. It will hold it's shape if you need to have a liner or backing for a sewing/craft project. This felt is suitable for making costume features. You can iron it with a steam setting and a press cloth. The wrinkles come out. Do not use your iron without a press cloth. You don't want to take any chance of the felt fibers melting. There is no problem sewing with this felt. You can stitch through it easily with your sewing machine. Hand sewing is not problem. Very easy to stitch through. I use this felt on the base areas of projects for a protective covering. Pincushion bases, boxes, statues and other items. It is easy to glue into place. This felt can be used as a protective pad underneath items on furniture. I have used this type of felt under a pond liner one time. I left it doubled. It was a small pond. It worked well to keep the liner protected from the ground underneath. This felt works well on garden pathways. I have used small pieces of this in garden pots if the drainage holes are too big. Water goes through, soil will not. This is not a decorative type felt. It is functional and can be used for many different applications. I cut a few pieces off to have ready to use so I don't have to unfold it each time I want to use it. I tied the bundle up and it will be easy to store. This is a big piece of felt for a good price.

Putting up an above-ground pool always makes you a little nervous about rocks or roots puncturing the bottom, but this felt pad adds a ton of peace of mind. It lays down completely flat without shifting around while you're trying to set things up, and the 11 by 7 size was a perfect match for the footprint. The material is thick and dense enough that it really blunts any rough spots on the ground, and as a bonus, it actually gives the pool floor a slightly softer, cushioned feel when you're walking around inside. It's a simple, inexpensive way to protect your investment before you fill it up with thousands of gallons of water. I have to work a little bit on my yard because after I put the pool up the ground seems to get bowed a little bit but even though that happened the pool was kept safe and had no puncture. you can disguise it with some landscaping ideas and besides the protections you can make a really nice backyard with pool to enjoy the summer spending very little. Highly recommended

This is an 11 x 7 rectangular felt pool pad underlayment for placing under above ground pools. I am using this because I have a 10 x 6 blowup pool and I don’t want any rocks or debris to pop or puncture the bottom. The felt is heavy duty and it is a true 11 x 7 which is perfect for smaller blowup pools. So far it seems very durable and sturdy. Because it is felt there’s no noise of it scraping against the bottom. I think this felt would also do very well for weed removal because it is thick enough to block all the sun under it. But I am using it as it’s intended so that my blowup pool does not develop a leak on the bottom due to debris or sharp stones. Overall, this is a great value for the money and I could also see using this pad for camping as a tent underlayment so this is actually a very versatile product.

My pool is only 9 x 6.5 ft and this ground pool liner is perfect, it gives me a buffer between the pool and the ground helping make sure the pool does not puncture. It also helps keep the pool stable and gives a small rim around the 6.5 side and a 2ft rim at the exiting side of the pool. This will work for any pool that’s 11ft x 7ft or smaller if you like a rim around the oool. The material is about 1/4” thick giving you a great cushion for the pool. The material is soft to Walt on and appears to be somewhat water resistant which means it will help keep the bottom of the pool cleaner when / if you decide to take it down for storage at some point. This is an affordable way to help protect the pool from tares or holes and I recommend it.
