I bought other stainless garden hose last year, but after i used it for a while, it rust. This garden hose, unlike my others, is real 304 stainless steel, i actually did test. i personally like steel hose over normal hose. I have only used it a few times, this hose is decent, flexible and doesn't kink. i needed the hose to go from the front of my house to the back so I purchased the 100ft and it is perfect, not heavy! I would definitely recommend this product for now. i will update my review to test it's durability a few month later.

This one has no leaks or flaws. It has a good flow rate of 4.2 GPM at 65 psi. A good rate for such a long, skinny hose. Compare this to an old timey 100' x 5/8" kinky hose that will flow in excess of 10 gpm at this psi. These metal hoses are ideal for in and out manual watering of garden rows. They're lightweight and do not kink with such use. Compare this with one of the old 100' x 5/8" kinky hoses that will work your butt off doing work like this as you put on the miles untangling the thing and dragging it around row ends by the middle parts. 4 gpm is plenty of flow for this type of watering. This is one of the highest uses of this hose. This hose and any metal hose can kink up very badly on you if you like to coil and hang unless you're very particular about how you do it. You may also find it somewhat maddening when you do the initial unfurling after you release it from the very nice shipping carton, heavy protective plastic bag and the zip ties. The hose schnozzle that comes with this hose looks good. It actually has many metal parts in it. A rare thing with one of these seemingly requisite inclusions. This one also has many spray patterns that are uncommon and I unfortunately like. Unfortunate because this one is garbage. It has an awful leak in the thumb switch. I've had some very expensive ones do this eventually and never found a way to fix them. I may tear into this one and see about it but most likely not. This hose is one of the many generic designs. This style is good but I have one that developed an incurable leak in the ferrule/crimp area in the female end. Unfortunately, I've yet to find a way to do a repair on one of these stainless steel hoses. It seems a shame since the recyclers will probably not take one of these as stainless steel since they're full of plastic. It's a common misconception you can't bend one of these stainless steel hoses by putting weight on it. Before it started to leak, the above mentioned hose was bent by a horse stepping on it on turf. It wasn't a fatal bend but just be aware these things aren't bulletproof. They do last a very long time when used with reasonable precaution. I do like this hose and expect it to last a very long time. I recommend it but always be careful how you use any hose. With proper precaution they can last a great many years. I have old timey kinky hoses that are more than 20 years old and still in service. I have a 75' x ¾" commercial grade hose that's mostly buried or otherwise covered that's carried pressure 24/7 since 2018 and it's still working as good as new. I have two identical hoses for backups but I don't know if or when I'll need to use them.

There seems to be lots of stainless steel hoses out there, and I needed a new hose, so I wanted to try one of them. I did not expect to like it as much as I do. I wasn't careful when I pulled it out of the box and cut the zip ties holding it and it got tangled up and was rather a pain to untangle. That said, since then, it has not tangled or kinked and gets caught on things way less than my old hose. But it is metal, so I do find that if I'm not careful it chips the paint on my metal fence posts if it's rubbing against the post as I pull it around the corner of the fence, which doesn't happen with a regular hose. I also thought it would get really hot in the sun, which does not seem to be an issue. The outside of the hose may be 5/8, but the inside diameter is much smaller than a standard hose, maybe 1/4 or 1/3 of an inch in diameter, you can see it in some of the product photos. As a result, the flow rate is much lower than a standard hose. That said, it seems to work fine with both the nozzle that came with it, as well as my old nozzle. It also was fine with my sprinkler, which I was not expecting to work as well as it did with my old hose. My pressure washer was a different story, it does not have enough flow to use with that and it takes longer to refill my fountain. Overall, I like it more than I thought I would, despite the drawbacks. I'll hang on to my old hose to use with my pressure washer, but will keep using this one and be careful about dragging it against my fence posts.

This water hose is everything the description promises! I threw it on the ground into a heap, but it detangled as I pulled on it. The connections are sturdy and easy to install. The hose does not kink and is easy to move around. Of course, because it's made of metal, it is a little heavier than plastic hoses (the only reason I gave it 4 stars for "light weight"), but not to the weight of making it hard to work with. You can disrupt the flow of water by squeezing the hose, but it does NOT kink or damage it in any way (my five-year-old grandson proved this point while I was watering the plants!). The length of it also makes it easy to access areas of the yard I couldn't before. Just to keep in mind, it is made of metal so it will heat up in the sun. However, it doesn't get so hot that I can't touch it. I appreciate the on/off feature of the nozzle because you don't have to hold a trigger to keep the water flowing. This is a great application for those with arthritis or carpal tunnel. Most of the nozzle choices have a soft water flow, so it isn't going to do heavy cleaning. However, it's perfect for watering the yard and garden as well as basic cleaning jobs like washing the car. Overall, this is a great product!
