As you can see from my pictures, you can tie this hose into a knot and it still will not kink! I love it! Most of my traditional hoses are made of rubber. Some, sadly, are made of some kind of plastic. They all have leaks or bad places where they have been kinked! I ordered this hose because I'm sick of bad hoses and the problems they bring. This hose is made of a stainless steel exterior with a latex rubber interior hose. The stainless steel sheath is strong and durable. The way it is made makes it impossible to kink the hose without basically destroying the hose. I think you can see the knot I tied in the hose in my pictures. I have several of this type of hose. I made the mistake of leaving one of these hoses out when the temperature went down to 23 degrees. When I realized it was going to freeze, I ran down to the hose to drain it for protection. TOO LATE!!! It was already frozen solid. I just knew I had ruined the hose. The next day the temparature went up to 45. I went out to see how ruined my hose was. To my vast surprise, the hose was still in good shape! There were no leaks, and my well is set to 85 pounds per square inch pressure. What a wonderful surprise! ... show more

    • Smooth and mostly tangle-free, not a super fast filler
I got a few of these hoses in different lengths, and really like them, the stainless coil hose itself doesn’t tangle easily and feels well-made. I had the compression fitting on one of these fail after a couple of months, but am hoping that was a fluke and this one has been fine. It’s worth noting that the hose is pretty narrow inside though, and so it’s not a high-volume hose. Fine for watering plants but if you need to fill vessels quickly, maybe look for a larger diameter hose for a faster fill up. ... show more

I love this type hose and am replacing all my old ones with these. I have a large yard and garden with only one water outlet for the whole place. So, hoses are a big deal to me. Seems the past few years hoses have overall just gotten less quality and higher prices. I got tired of spending money on hoses that often started leaking in the connections after one season and overall have junk holding them together. The washers are just as bad. Some even spring leaks in the hoses from weak spots. So far these type work really well....The connections are high quality like old style hoses. They are heavy duty with good washers. The metal hose doesn't kink and tangle up. They are just a better solution if you need more than one hose for sure...and good if you only needed one. I think these will end up lasting me a long time...and the price is about what a cheap junk hose costs now ... show more

This hose will not kink and is VERY flexible, but if you are not careful you might tangle it or you could even tie it in knots if you wanted to. It is perfect for a durable 25 ft hose that is easy to use and convenient to store. This hose would be great for camping, for an RV, or for those easy to reach places in the yard; it does not appear to be rated for drinking water, however. There are plastic strain reliefs that screw onto the back of the connectors. The seller includes 3 extra washers and some pipe thread tape. I had no leaks when I connected it to my hose bib. The only improvement would be if the knurled grip ring on the connector were a bit wider; this would make it easier to tighten a nozzel to the end of the hose. Overall, this is an outstanding hose; I wish I had found it years ago! ... show more

    • No-name duplicate with one massive flaw
I ordered and received three different branch hoses that looked similar. They are 100% identical. Same box that doesn't have any name brand. Same spare washers in the box. Same plumber tape. These look really nice. They were knitted up out of the box. The diameter of these is pretty small. Probably not more than 3/8”. The hole in the fittings is about 1/4”. In some initial testing, these seemed great! No leaks. They didn't kink. They connected easily. Then I tried to disconnect them. This is where things fell apart for me. The black strain reliefs are attached by screwing them on in a clockwise direction. That means you can tighten attachments easily, with good torque. The problem is when you try to unscrew an attachment. The black strain relief spins off and you have almost nothing to hold to unscrew your attachment. It was very difficult to get loose. If they improve and enlarge the strain relief and/or give more space to hold the hose, it would be great. For now, this will have to be relegated to use that won't get attached/detached often. ... show more

    • Lightweight hose is so much easier to move around the garden.
This garden hose is lightweight and so much easier to move around the garden than the old style rubber hoses. This stainless steel hose is perfect for watering my garden. I love how easy and quick it is to roll up. This makes it so easy to move from faucet to faucet and store on the shelf in the shed. The stainless steel should not get all moldy in just one season like the rubber ones do from our high humidity. It came with 4 extra rubber washers and some tread tape. Secured to the faucet with no leaks and now I am ready for a hot dry summer. I plan on buying more of these stainless steel hoses and replacing all my old big heavy garden hoses. ... show more
