    • Very lightweight and appears to be kink free
This hose is really lightweight. I tossed it around and tried to manipulate it, to see if it would kink or tangle, and it kept flipping itself back straight. So it seemed to be pretty good so far. I didn’t try to actually bend it in half and manually kink it, because I did fear it might permanently damage it…but I wouldn’t do that with a regular hose either…so not a test that I needed to perform. It didn’t leak when pressure was applied to it (came with the rubber washer installed in one end but not the other end…however a little pack of washers was also included). Having said that, I would test it under a pressurized load. It’s so lightweight I’d be afraid to try that. However, for its intended use, as a regular garden hose, it should serve you well. I’m not sure how it’ll hold up over time, we will see…but it says it’s made of stainless steel so it should hold up well. Time will tell! Good luck on your shopping adventures.     • Hoping spring is around the corner - I'm ready
Trying to get rid of my heavy, but efficient rubber hoses that costed me a arm and leg. This 25 ft. is really light. The connections appear to be brass, it came with extra washer. The rubber band located at each end of the hose seems adequate. I've already labled this one 25 ft. and have it waiting in the garage. I've purchased the lightweight fabric hose, the shrinking hoses and the cheap plastic hoses. The good rubber hose is just too heavy when I go a 100 ft. out. So my thinking was lets do 4 - 25 ft. . Now I'm thinking I should have gone with a 100 to start with. That's how light they are. The shrinking hoses are great but if you are using them with timers they suck. If you had stretched out the hose to the fill length (which is about 2/3's longer )once the water stops it will pull out of the ground and shrink back to it's normal length. Lightweight but not practical for me. I don't believe this hose will kink, should be a breeze winding up for storage. I just hoping the hose is sized large enough to have adequate water pressure for my distance. Time will tell and I'll certainly update. ... show more

I got tired of having kinked hoses and this seemed to be one option. I have another similar hose that actually appears identical out of the box. This stainless steel hose does not kink at all which I am really happy about. The only downside is that it's a little narrow diameter and so the total volume of water that comes out is distinctly less than a regular hose. For most uses it seems perfectly adequate however. I have rubber hoses, expandable hoses, even a plastic hose, and they all give me problems. I am tired of dealing with them every year, so I ordered this hose hoping that it would be better than all of my previously mentioned hoses. Spoiler alert, IT IS!! This metal hose is, pretty much, everything that my other hoses aren't. It stretches out so easily, it doesn't get kinks, it would be difficult for it to have a hole in it, it has no problems handling high water pressure, it rolls up easily when you are done using it, it can take a good amount of tugging and pulling, and it looks so much better than traditional water hoses. I really like that this hose will not rust. This hose will last so much longer than rubber hoses or expandable hoses, in my opinion. The hose comes with extra washers, just in case.... Overall, a terrific hose that requires little to no maintenance and is much easier to deal with than any other hoses. I will be ordering more of the metal hoses so that I can get rid of my others. The quality of this hose is extremely high, and I do recommend it for anyone and everyone. ... show more

The contents of the box are all packed in a sealed plastic bag. The package includes the hose, a bag of 3 extra washers, and a roll of teflon tape to help seal the brass connections. . Each end of the hose has a shiny brass regular-size fitting, plus a plastic sleeve to strengthen the connection to the hose. The hose is very flexible and won't kink from hanging. The best feature of this steel hose is how easy it is to pull out and wind it back into a hose reel. It coils up nicely into the hose reel, saving time and hassles with kinked hoses.     • Pretty nice hose overall
So far, so good - the hose came and seems nicely flexible as expected. It doesn't kink at all (sort of the purpose of metal hoses, right?), and the brass connectors seems really sturdy. The only reason I haven't rated 5 stars is because I don't want to give a full 5 stars until it's been in use for a while and HASN'T rusted or anything like that. I'll come back and adjust my review in 6 months or so, depending on what it looks like at that time. ... show more
