If your idea of a good time is spending an entire Saturday on a ladder while reading sentences like “attach blade A to slot B (or is it D?) with provided but possibly missing screws,” then this is your moment. The ZMISHIBO 65 inch fan claims ‘easy installation’ but delivers more of a choose-your-own-adventure vibe with a side of humility. I was well into construction before realizing I should’ve recruited my neighbor’s experienced uncle, at least one dog with impressive tool-fetching skills, and possibly the cast of Cirque du Soleil to actually hang this beast. But patience was rewarded with a monolithic, surprisingly attractive fan, great for those who believe their ceilings should make guests feel small. Eight maple-inspired blades render a statement piece straight out of a design magazine, and thanks to three downrod lengths, this fixture works whether your home is a cozy bungalow or a post-modern airplane hangar. Once up, this fan is nearly as silent as the room during a debate about grandparents’ sleep hygiene, maxing out at 35 dB on the highest setting. The reversible DC motor means you’ll be living in perpetual climate-controlling luxury, provided you only ever want to feel smug about your energy bill. Lighting is versatile enough to satisfy all possible moods: from ‘romantic evening’ to ‘find that rogue Lego under the sofa’—a testament to the adjustable 3000K to 6000K LED fixture and its dimming abilities. The light has an adjustable color temperature, switching freely from warm white to cool white, and the brightness is also adjustable, serving as both a main light and an ambient light. Installation took a little time, but the accessories were complete, the instructions were clear, and the fan was very stable after installation. I have to admit this fan was a bear to get up on the ceiling. But, now that it us there I am super happy with it. I was worried about the sound of the moter since it is so big but it is whisper quiet! The remote makes changing the speed or direction super easy. Also you can change the temperature of the light! Airflow is superb. This is a very well made fan at an excellent price. I would definitely recommend this.
