I got the set of the small, medium, and large of these pans. They are fantastic! They take a while to heat up, but it allows you to really monitor the food well. It heats and cooks very evenly across the pan. If, however, you have the heat on too high, it will burn the food once you crash that threshold. It is suggested that you use medium heat, which I have found works perfectly! also, it is advised to read the directions because you want to take special care of this pan. I would use butter rather than oil. If you use oil, mix it with a little butter and don’t use too much. Also, wait until it is cooled before you wash it with just a sponge, soap, and warm water. I don’t put mine in the dishwasher. I really love cooking with this pan! ... show more

Learned too much iron consumption ages you so cooking with cast iron is no longer recommended, so this skillet having an interior non stick allows you to cook with cast iron again … also this skillet price is reasonable.

Wish I had this pan when I started a 'what's for dinner' diary on March 20, 2020 when the pandemic started. I was cooking for a family of 5 (3 grown boys + husband and me) I was pretty determined to keep things cooking and not order out. (sorry restaurant industry) So three years later - I have a bible of meals recorded. I will buy other sizes of the Zakarian non stick cast iron skillet to fit on my 5 burner induction range. Disappointed if this is supposed to be a commercial product designed to be used in a restaurant kitchen as it is advertised. I personally would not want to be the chef using it for a full shift day in and day out. The main handle is much too short to balance and manipulate properly. Otherwise it appears to be well constructed and finished and will serve when I need a heavy pan to go from the cooktop to the oven for Shepherds Pie, Goulash, Stuffed Cabbage and the like. It would also have been nice if it was supplied with silicone grips for the handles, or available separately. ... show more

I wasn’t sure if I would like dealing with a heavy pan but I’m using it a lot since its purchase. It really works well for eggs, cheese crisps, quesadillas and grilled sandwiches. I’ve also browned meat and put it the oven to finish. I’m happy with this purchase.

I am single and I purchased the 9.5". The only time it leaves my stove is when I clean it. It's easy to clean, heats up evenly and cooks like a dream. It's pretty much the only pan I use these days. It's the perfect size for the meals I prepare.

This pan has been a lifesaver. It's not as heavy as my grandmother's old cast iron skillet I inherited. I made some steak and they turned out perfectly. The coating is nice. The handle is great and the blue matches my kitchen perfectly.
