This is a great little smoker for the money. Take the manufacturer’s advice and line the grease plate with heavy duty aluminum foil for each use and make clean up a breeze. I also line the grease cup with foil. I’ve used it about 10 times now and remain impressed with the build quality and ease of use. It’s so much easier to clean than my older electric smoker. Oh - and it works wonderfully as a grill too! Throw out the quick setup sheet and use the full assembly instructions in the manual.

Purchased in July 2023. So far so good. It cooks faster than my previous smoker and keeps consistent heat. It's heavy steel and built well. I would buy again.

What a piece of imported junk. Highest degree it would reach was 110. I can stick my hand inside and not get burned after a half hour. I spent an hour putting this together and now I have to spend anther hour disassembling it and repacking it. Stay away from Z-Grills. At least have the decency to test a $400 product before you ship it to a customer to make sure it is functioning. And oh, by the way, believe this or not, the have the wire that connects the hopper unit to the grill outside folded up and sandwiched between the hopper and the hot grill. How long if the grill actually heated up, do you think it will take to burn though that wire and then your unit is unusable anymore. What thoughtful engineering obviously by grade school students. Shame on Z-Grills. I am buying another brand.

My man fell in love with this smoker. Now he smokes everything! It's awesome the flavor is phenomenal and it's much less work than chopping wood and building a fire. Im handicap he's older and it's ABC simple. He loves the features ours has. Would definitely recommend and very giftable. Seems a bit pricey but the reality is it's a lot like a car. Totally worth it 👌. And when you take care of it it will last many years making the expense a fraction. Our spring was so much more pleasant, smoking chicken and chops. Our summer was awesome by the smoker havingsteak and dogs. Its Thanksgiving and we're smoking a turkey in 30° weather. We plan to smoke a Christmas ham, its usually in the 20°s then.. its useful all year long! It was easy to assemble and very easy to use.

One year and one month update: this smoker has been great, we use it heavily once or twice a week. BUT you get what you pay for. Today I went to move the grill, it made it about 6 inches then it hit the deck. The welds on the underside that hold the brackets for the legs gave out and broke off. This revealed a very bad cold welding job. It can be fixed easily but for a smoker barely over a year old and had hardly moved; I shouldn't have to do this. I do have to say everything else has been great and I am in the market to upgrade. I may not considder zgrills due to this quality issue.

This grill is fantastic for our needs. It's just my Wife and I so I didn't need or want the biggest thing on the market. It's the perfect size for a couple Boston Butts or 3 full racks of ribs! 3 whole chickens ETC !!!

First off: received well packaged and all the parts were there! I took my time putting it together/2 hours ! Initial testing and ready to be cooked on! Can’t wait! Zgrill is a well made product And I highly recommend it

Looks like a nice unit. However after following set-up procedure, attempted to cook at 180 degrees. The temperature guage on the unit showed the temp varying between 165 degrees and 270 degrees or so. The unit only produced smoke at the lower temps. Later we successfully smoked a beef roast with the "smoke" setting, and the temperature stayed around 180 with continuous smoke. But couple days later we tried smoking a duck on the same "smoke" setting. Temperature on the built in readout shows temp swinging as high as 300 degrees and producing minimal smoke. We're frustrated and don't know how to return such a large and heavy item.
