The weight is perfect for even small hamburgers. It is easy to clean because of the grill lines instead of a grid pattern of some others. The handle is super comfortable. Follow instructions on how to maintain it. Just soak the whole thing in water for a few minutes to soften the residue from grilling, then simple rinse the soap off. If you have mineral oil, apply the oil to the surface. Cast iron usually don't rust but it could leave some residue on it. Dishwasher safe, but it is so easy to clean and use, you don't have to use the dishwashing machine. It is made very well.

Great product. Heavy enough and covers a decent area. It easily covers 2 big chicken breasts and the food just tastes better. Chicken is jucier and bacon dont splatters.

I have a couple of presses and this one is the largest. It's not pre-seasoned so it had some surface rust on it, but that was easy to knock off with a scouring pad before my first seasoning. Look forward to using it quite a bit. Purchase Recommendation: Yes. You won't be sorry.

Disappointing product! The meat press is a good size and the overall design is nicely done. It's a bit wider and longer than the Lodge press I recently purchased on Amazon so it covers more food. The down side is that it is surprisingly lightweight. It weighs less than the smaller Lodge press and may not perform well for some foods. My press arrived with a splatter of rusted spots. I followed the process for restoring and the spots did not reappear immediately after. I hope this will not be a reoccurring issue. I would not purchase again. I'll opt for the Lodge or one comparable in quality.
