I love this fan! I bought it to replace an old wobbly fan that I was afraid would fly off the ceiling. It’s great. It’s attractive and so quiet. On the higher speeds it really pushes the air. On low it’s a gentle breeze that provides enough airflow to keep a room fresh and cool. The light is bright! But adjustable. The remote control is easy to use and so convenient. This review is for the white flush mount fan. On the same page you can buy the black down rod version which I have purchased twice. My wife and I just finished installing the DY1244-5B48 ceiling fan. It looks great and works great. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that I ran into two issues that made installation a little difficult. The first issue was that I was attaching the ceiling mounting bracket to an existing in-ceiling round metal electrical box that held a fan I was replacing. The mounting bracket holes did not line up very well with the existing electrical box screws - it was about 1/8' too wide to match the electrical box svrews so they ended up entering the electrical box screw holes at an angle. The second issue is the instruction manual. For us old guys, it should be larger (8.5 " X 11"). The pictures were too small for me to make out certain details of the assembly. Thankfully, the two videos on the Amazon description page were very helpful. I tried to get a PDF manual online, so I could zoom in on the illustrations, but was not able to find one - not even on the pmwfan.com (YUHAO) site. ... show more

Don't even hear it running! It is so quiet and it is beautiful. I was worried when we were putting it together and realized you could only control it with the remote. But, in doing more research I'm happy bc I really didn't want the chains hanging down. It comes on to the last setting automatically when I flip it on from the wall switch. I priced out fans at the big box stores and they were twice, if not more, expensive. It's only been a few days but I think we got a winner ... show more

Bought this fan and it arrived with a broken red wire inside of the fan assembly. Ordered a replacement waiting for Amazon to refund the order, even though I still have to return the package on my own time which was wasted, and the replacement is a dud too; base is entirely crooked from the fan blades themselves so it sits unevenly once assembled. The seller response was mediocre regarding the issues. If you wanna go thru the effort of installing and possibly having a faulty product and having to rebox and send back then take the risk. If the fan hadn’t had issues it’d be really nice and quite beautiful and sleek. But such a PITA. Seller response was mediocre regarding the issues. ... show more
