The seat is ample for people who are at or over 6 ft. They support your legs very nicely. We use these at their lowest setting for a breakfast bar that looks out a window. They are easy to put together and feel very sturdy to sit on. No squeaking. The fabric keeps you from slipping or sliding. I assembled one chair and I was fine. As I assembled the 2nd chair, the chair would not rise! Now I know why! As you can see, the top of Part “D” is cracked! The more I think about it, it might be Part D that is “broken” that created the “knob” to crack. Please let me know what my next step should be. Because I have never RETURNED anything from AMAZON.
