  • Great Rack, Good Value, Has Some Quirks
Size: 200LBS EZ-FOLD 2-BIKE RACK
I think this is a great rack for the money. We haul 2 e-bikes across town and have no issues. It's solid with little vibration, and I feel it securely holds the bikes. Here are my 3 things they can improve: 1. Assembly - On the up rods, there are shanks (plastic) that fit into the up rod poles. The purpose to ensure a tighter fit. These took me about 5 mins per pole to assemble and is frustrating. I assembled this by myself, so I was forced to hold two shanks into position while getting a bolt through the mounting bracket and the metal holes of the up rods. That makes six surfaces that must be aligned to get a bolt through. It's not the end of the world, but just thought they could secure these at the factory for added assistance. 2. The Bolt that Attaches the Ract to Hitch is a Screw - There are several comments on this, I would prefer a through bolt vs screw just for ease of "on-off" 3. Holding Latches - These work great but they are plastic. I'm worried over time these will wear out and break. So far no issues, but a concern as more uses accumulate. In all, I'd recommend this rack, I don't think you can beat it for the price. It's sturdy, it's easy to get the bikes on and off. The hitch on the rack allows it to fold up for parking, and fold away from the SUV to get into the vehicle. I have a 4Runner and it fits great and does not stick out at all on the sides, as some have mentioned. ... show more

  • Great Deal! Great Deal!
Size: 200LBS EZ-FOLD 2-BIKE RACK
Shoot! I bought for $275 and thought that was a great price. I've used it twice so far with my 55 lb eBike and it's hauled great. Very stable. The 3-Pt straps work terrific, though I have loosely added velcro straps as back up bc of the horror stories in the reviews. I think they didn't know how to use the strap clamp or something. Super quick and secure. The straps haven't loosened up at all. Trick to the standard 2x2 receiver bolt. Buy a miniature Master lock. Fits through the bolt hole great and will slow down the casual thief. And many in the reviews have said how difficult it is put place the plastic washer/bushing in while installing the Uprights. They thankfully fixed that by adding self adhesive to one side of the bushing to keep it in place. Fantastic improvement and it made assembly super easy. Great job Young! ... show more

  • Very Good Heavy Duty EBike Rack Very Good Heavy Duty EBike Rack
Size: 200LBS EZ-FOLD 2-BIKE RACK
Excellent E-Bike rack. After upgrading to heavier Aventon E-Bikes, my old rack was not sturdy enough for these bikes. I was looking for a solid folding rack and settled on this one, and I hoped to leave it on, folded up and locked to my car so it would be less likely to disappear. This rack does a great job to hold both E-Bikes and also fold up afterwards and leave on my car. I was surprised that the Hitch Pin that connects the rack to the 2" receiver was threaded. I have since learned that this is standard in a lot of bike racks, because it reduces wobble, but the Bike Rack makers have not made it easy to find the correct Threaded Hitch Pin to fit their specific rack. They rarely give the exact size of the "bolt" threads on both the rack and on the different hitch pins. I had to try 4 different ones to get it right. If you measure the threaded pin that comes with this rack, the smooth part is about 1/2" thick, but that does not help. I tried a Hitch Pin Lock from Young Electric that said 1/2" in the title and it was too small. So for the record, for this heavy-duty e-bike rack, the specific thread is 16mm Metric with a Coarse Thread. The MaxxHaul 50376 Threaded Hitch Locking Pin does fit this rack for most normal 2" receivers. It is called a M16 pin in the description. The 3.3" wide note was not a problem for my receiver. I will add a picture of the pin in my receiver shortly. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CQ6LMSM Otherwise, my only other complaints or suggestions for this rack are as follows: 1) The vertical bars for anchoring the center post of the bike are difficult to swing out of the way when loading the bike, especially the inside bike closer to the car. Removing it and reattaching it is annoying. I wish there was a way to pivot them to point up when the square tube was laying flat in the rack. 2) The cage that holds the front tire is impressive, but I wish the back tire had more vertical support on each side of the rail to keep it from sliding off, but it does appear to be well anchored. If the strap on the rear tire failed, I could see the tire slipping off and dragging on the ground causing significant damage to the bike. It appears well anchored so far, but I would add 1" metal on each side of the rail on that half to give additional security and support (Like a U shaped valley) if I could. 3) I wish I understood the weight of these EBikes. I had to buy the ramp separately to make loading easier. Young Electric has a ramp, and I have seen the rack sold with the ramp. Purchasing it afterwards added $85 for a folding piece of metal. I would have saved some money if I bought it bundled. You should probably purchased the ramp if your EBikes are not light. It isn't just the weight, which I can lift, it is how much of the weight is in the rear hub, which requires one arm to lift while the other arm is lifting the much lighter front. Get the ramp. But so far, it is holding well, and I am very happy with the bike rack. If they fixed either of the two issues above (center post or U shaped fencing for the rear tire), this would be a 5 star rack. If they fixed both, it would be a 6 star rack. Update: I have seen comments about the straps in reviews here ("tire hold-down straps will not engage to secure the wheels") and at least in the video in the review, they are putting the strap in the wrong side of the ratchet mechanism. If they turned it around and stuck the strap in the other side, it engages just fine and holds just fine. ... show more

  • Good rack for ebikes
Size: 200LBS EZ-FOLD 2-BIKE RACK
This rack is heavy which is good, not going to worry that it is going to break going down the highway, but bad when I carry it, i actually use a 2 wheel canoe carrier to move it around, bikes are very stable in the rack, I like the rubber latching straps, and the folding mechanism which has a lock to prevent it from unlatching Figured out pretty quickly to load the ebikes by lifting the front tire to the end of the rack and then lift the back of the bike as you roll it into position on the rack. The main reason I bought this rack is that one of our bikes is a step through so the way that the center posts of this rack attache to the vertical seat post works well with a step through type bike I too had two holes in the front tire shoes that did not line up, wondering if i would have swapped the shoes if everything would have matched up, but they have four 3/8 bolts that hold these on so i just left the one out that Would not line up, you couldn’t knock them off with a stick of dynamite, overall a very nice well built sturdy stable rack. ... show more

  • Well built, easy to assemble. Holds a large Aventon Adventure 2 ebike. Well built, easy to assemble. Holds a large Aventon Adventure 2 ebike.
Size: 200LBS EZ-FOLD 2-BIKE RACK
Great value. I bought this during the spring sale and saved almost 50% off of the name brand from other websites. Looking at the pictures it appears to be identical. I needed something to carry our ebikes, because I was tired of lifting them in and out of my R1T. This fits the bill. After assembly it seems well built. Pros: -quick and easy to assemble. Did it myself in about 45 mins. 5/16 and 15/16 ratchet or wrenches will be your friends. -Holds my Aventon Adventure 2 bike securely. And it is a big heavy bike. -Folds up so you do not have to remove it. Folds down slightly to reduce lifting height or allow access to SUV -Drove for a couple of miles on a test run down county roads with no excessive wobbling or noise -Will easily hold both of our ebikes. Cons: -Blocks most of your brake lights and your tag. - The plastic parts concern me and I hope they are replaceable if they break( see close up photos of the parts that concern me) -Specific to my Rivian R1T you can not fold the carrier up when not it use as it will rub against my tailgate. This is NOT an issue caused by the carrier but of the design of the Rivian. (See photo) -The hitch pin that comes with the carrier is not a secure way to attach it to your vehicle. It is easily removed with out tools and could be a theft concern. I intend to by a better pin in the future. -While assembly was easy by myself. lining it up in the hitch to fit the pin and attaching the upright arms would be much easier with help. The upright arms have two little plastic shims that need to be held in place while lining up the bolt. Overall I am happy with my purchase. I wish I would have gotten the ramp. I will update my review as time goes on. ... show more

  • Sturdy Rack - Trash Straps
Size: 200LBS EZ-FOLD 2-BIKE RACK
Edit: This is an extremely sturdy rack for 2 E-Bikes that was easy to assemble. Getting the hole to line up in the hitch receiver was a little more tricky than the common un-threaded pin used with trailers. Now here is why i gave it only 3 stars. The tie down straps are absolute trash!!! They will not stay tightened at all! Imagine you have the back of the SUV Packed, dog calmed down, spouse has everything ready to go up front, and you cannot get any of the 6 straps to work! Now everything is delayed while I search the garage for Zip Ties and ratchet straps. after 45 minutes of dickering around we were on the road. I certainly hope that someone from Young Electric sends me new working straps ASAP. Changed to 5 stars once new straps were installed and now works great! ... show more

  • Poor Design/ Engineering
Size: 200LBS EZ-FOLD 2-BIKE RACK
The rack arrived in a beat-up box but on inspection was not damaged. Assembly was straightforward. It is a heavy bike rack made for heavy bikes. I have no issues/ complaints with this part of the purchase. The distance between the front tire saddle and the rear tire support/ block is almost not far enough apart. I made it work, though. However, the tire hold-down straps will not engage to secure the wheels. The vertical seat post strap will not engage either. Also, the vertical seat post arm with the strap assembly will not clear/ pass by the rear tire/ wheel. Nor will it pass by the front tire/ wheel. The vertical seat post arm tie-down had to be disassembled to get it to pass by the tire/ wheel. I had to hold the bike with one hand, disassemble the tie down with my other hand, and then swivel the vertical arm with my third hand. This could be very dangerous if one were to slip at any moment and have a 90lb bike fall on them. It could very well hurt...the bike and the rider. I think the vertical arm should/ could be redesigned to have an articulated swivel on the hold-down part of the arm so it can be maneuvered around the tire/ wheel. The hold-down straps should be of better quality. I can't recommend this bike rack for these reasons. ... show more

  • The straps are great if you use them correctly
Size: 200LBS EZ-FOLD 2-BIKE RACK
For everyone reading these reviews, I was a bit worried about the quality of the straps. They seem to be a common complaint. They are good, I truly feel like everyone that has problems with them is using them backwards. This initially happened to me too, and the assembly instructions say nothing about it that I could find. We have used it several times now with two very heavy ebikes, works great! My only advice, if you plan on loading and unloading by yourself, do yourself a favor and get the ramp. I ended up making that mistake and bought the ramp separately. ... show more
