Good for backing up your data or video game console, keep in mind this is a spinning disk hard drive and it's slower than a SSD... works great for its intended purpose.

Does not work is not compatible with PS4 like it said it would be I tried reformat it 4 different times and it still won't work I would give it 0 stars if I could don't waste your money.

This external drive is very good for what is, and as long as you manage expectations should be a reliable backup solution. This drive is a regular "old-school" mechanical hard drive and not an SSD. Therefore, you need to manage expectations as far as speed and performance. The drive is made very well. Build quality is very good and the drive is heavy. The shell seems to provide more than adequate for the 2.5" mechanical drive inside. The cable is an older USB A to USB B Micro design that is well made and connects easily to the hard drive and the PC. Windows 11 detects the drive automatically. The default volume name is written in Chinese characters. So, you may want to change it. You can do this by right clicking the volume in File Explorer and clicking Rename. You can then change the value to the name of your choosing and pressing Enter. Performance is good considering it's a mechanical drive. During my testing, transfer speeds ranged at around 80MBps, which is not bad for a mechanical drive. It's not near as fast as an SSD, but then it's not designed to be. Temps are solid, and the device does not get hot. It is also virtually silent, so that's good. For $18, you get a fully assembled, ready-to-go 160GB external hard drive that performs relatively well. That's a bargain and a good value. Therefore, overall, I have to say it is a good product worth price. Recommended. Build Quality - 5/5 Well-made and durable Speed - 5/5 Good speeds for mechanical drive Temps - 5/5 Runs cool Noise - 5/5 Barely audible at all. You have to really try to hear it. Ease of Use - 4/5 Just plug it in and it works. You should change the volume name if you don't read Chinese. Value for Money - 5/5 Good value at the price. Overall Score - 4.83/5 Stars (rounded up to 5 stars.)

I crochet a lot and so I have tons of patterns that I download. I needed something that I could store my patterns on without slowing down my laptop. This external hard drive it my solution. Works great for my needs

Was purchased for use on my xbox. Downloads put onto the hard drive have to be transferred to the Xbox to work. Completely useless

I plugged this external hard drive into an older laptop where I have pictures stored and there was absolutely no issue with installation; its basically plug and play. I transferred pictures effortlessly to the hard drive using the My PC icon to locate the drive and was able to easily access them after transfer as well. A Very Nice Product!
