Great So Far

Amazon delivery was great. Arrived a day early & even got a call from the driver to confirm he had the right house (this is actually a problem iny small town & thank goodness for honest neighbors). It was packed very well to prevent any damage in shipping. It was probably harder to take out of the box than to assemble. On the assembly, a lot of reviewers complained about the instructions, but to me, they were easy enough to follow & it took me around 30 minutes by myself. Only problem was putting the 2 halves together. One side, the holes didn't quite line up. No problem. Took a screw driver & pried it around a little. It was now close enough to get the screws in & tightened down. Another previous complaint that the company evidently listened to was the funnel. I was surprised to see one when unpacking the box. Takes just over 2 gallons of water to bring it up to the minimum level to get started with. I'm more interested in the overall movement, endurance, cardio & weight loss & it's been 10 years since I did any kind of exercise program & I'm easing back into it. I'm not expecting it to be a strength trainer even at max water level. I'm 5'10, 240 pounds, so I'm not pushing weight or height limits by any means. That being said, machine seems stable & sturdy and there is plenty of rail left behind me for the seat at full extension. Sound of the water is great. No experience with the app yet as I've just used Samsung health & my watch to track heart rate & time so far. If it's anything exceptional, good or bad, when I try it, I'll update. Can't speak on storage or leakage when standing up. I have enough room for it to stay at the ready so why chance it. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it if you're looking for a water rower. There were a couple that were cheaper, but I went with this one having overall better reviews than the ones that were $40-50 cheaper.

Like rowing in a lake

Took some time & research to find a rowing machine that wasn't too pricey & used water to make it feel like I was outside rowing on a lake. I was a little intimated about the assembly as I was doing it myself although I have assembled many items in my life & actually enjoy it. I think as far as the assembly goes I first watched ( a couple of times) a video on the assembly of this model. After I read the manual ( yes, I read manuals that come with things I purchase) I methodically took it step by step following the directions which, are pretty clear & easy to follow. All holes for screws lined up as they should so things went pretty smoothly. It took me about an hour and a half. I should mention I am a 74 year old female not in the greatest shape who had knee surgery ( both knees) a couple years ago. I was a bit pensive about sitting down on the seat as it is a little low but has some height off the ground( one of the main reasons I chose this one plus it has double bars the seat runs back & forth on) but I was able to sit down & get up easier than I thought. The tanks water level & how quick you row regulates the intensity. I filled mine up to line 3. You definitely get a full body workout & it helps get your heart rate up there. Another reason I brought a rower as it is almost a no impact exercise which won't mess with my body joints except to strengthen them. Love the machine would definitely recommend buying it if you're in the market for one. Only negative was the flimsy straps on the foot beds but I worked with it & down the line will see if I can replace the straps with something else.

Great Rower easy setup and solid workout

Put this together by myself in under an hour, no problem at all. The build quality feels sturdy and smooth, and I really like the water resistance. I filled it to the max level and it gives the perfect pull for a tougher workout. It stores upright easily when I’m done, so it doesn’t take up much space in my personal gym. The app is a nice bonus too, you can track your progress or even race other people, which keeps things interesting. Overall, really happy with it. Feels like something I’ll actually stick with long-term.

Perfect Starter Water Rower

Pretty great machine, especially for the price! (My set up is just the machine on an equipment mat on hardwood.) Pros: The machine was extremely easy for 1 person to set up and the instructions were clear to follow. Noise isn’t really a factor to me considering it’s a water rower, but I will say the sound it does produce is relaxing and enjoyable. The bluetooth connection works fine for the app I’ve tried it with, you just have to do a few strokes first to “activate” the bluetooth as simply turning the monitor on does not seem to. In terms of actually working out on it, I’m extremely pleased so far. I’ve used it multiple times a week, every week, for 8 months and haven’t noticed much wear. The seat is comfortable enough for the 30-60 minute sessions I typically do and I’m able to work up a good sweat on it (at resistance level 1, as well). I also love the double rail set up as it always feels more sturdy to me than a low-midrange single rail machine. A major pro so far has been customer service. I’ve reached out about 2 things and they’ve been extremely helpful and responsive both times. Most recently, it came time to add fresh water purifying tabs and I reached out to customer service to find out about the water capacity for each resistance level in order to determine how much to put in and they actually measured and got back to me. 10/10. Cons: The foot pedals that come with the water rower have a tri-glide mechanism, not velco straps, and they’re arranged so you tighten pulling away from the machine/your foot instead of towards. For me, this makes it difficult to tighten the straps while my foot is in the machine. The straps also loosen over time during my workout, so I usually stop a few times throughout to remove my foot, retighten and slot back in. Not a huge deal but velcro or something else would be much better in my opinion. Also, fwiw, I wear a size 8.5 women’s and the straps are just a touch higher than ideal across my foot. Aside from this, no complaints. Buy this machine.

Operates smoothly, seems to be solidly constructed

Update: After about 7 weeks of use, the water rower is still functioning well. I'm 6'3", and the rower's track was juuust long enough for me. My dad is 6'4", and complained that it was a little too short, so I made the modification shown in my picture, which added about another 1.5" of length to the track. I'm not advising doing this, as it compromises the integrity of the rower's design a bit (and is the reason I added the support bolts shown), but it's worked very well for us. I also added a book reading light to illuminate the electronic display (shown in my other pic), since it was too dark to see for my dad. I don't know why they didn't add an LED to the display for the negligible extra cost it would have presented, but oh well. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ I have owned/used the Stamina X air rower for several years, and wanted to get a rower for my dad, so I looked into water rowers again, which have come down in price significantly from when I shopped for my rower years ago. I have put in several pretty vigorous hours on this Yosuda water rower, and have been impressed by the solid, smooth feel. It is definitely superior to my old air rower. 2 potentially helpful hints.... 1. The assembly video for attaching the rear support stand to the rails shows the 4 bolts being installed backwards. The nuts should be attached to the inside of the rails, not outside, or else the seat will not travel back all the way to the bumper/limiter (don't ask me how I found this out), since the nuts will be in the way. 2. For those complaining that the bluetooth does not function for usage with the apps - try pulling the rower a stroke or two before attempting a connection with your phone app. Just turning on the electronic display alone does not seem to activate the bluetooth on my unit.

Bluetooth Connectivity/App is Terrible

The rower itself is fine. However the Bluetooth feature on this is awful. This was the primary reason I bought this rower. It claims to only be compatible with a few apps (kinomap etc) however it does not function properly with any app. There is a major lag between the stats on the native screen and the app. Makes using any app impossible and unworkable. Very disappointing considering the price point.

Looks good, but after unpacking, the unit is broken

The the fans in the SEALED water chamber are broken and will not turn. Unit is Not functional. this Had to happen in manufacturing as the chamber is sealed. I sent photos to manufacturer with no response as of yet. This items is boxed very well and requires a bit of effort to remove it. I'll update if I ever hear back from manufacturer Update - 7-25-2023. I have been emailing with a rep at the Manufacturer and they have been very helpful. I was able to return the rower that was broken and it was quickly replaced with a new rower. I've assembled the rower and have been using it. It was actually not too bad to assemble. took a bit, but I was going slow while watching TV. It is a well made rower and well worth your investment. I'm a big guy and it can handle my weight with ease. A friend of mine also purchased this rower and he loves it. Do your self a favor and get one of these.!!

Quality rowing machine for the price

I'm accustomed to typical commercial grade rowers, so this one was my first personal rowing machine purchase. I am impressed with the construction quality and usefulness of the monitor screen. Just finished my first workout, and while I was initially skeptical about how much resistance the max water volume could offer, it was definitely a quality workout reminiscent of using a water rower at a gym in the past. The only weakness I can think of at the moment is that there's no way to adjust the resistance level, other than to increase/decrease the water level in the tank, which I doubt anyone actually takes the time to do. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and feel that it was a good value for the price paid ($289.99 with the coupon). Update: about 20 row workouts in and still happy with it. The monitor isn't perfect, for example the distance seems a bit off compared to what I'm used to seeing using commercial-grade rowers, but used in conjunction with some kind of fitness watch, you'll definitely be able to get your heart rate up to a level where you're getting a quality workout.
