Hey folks, Just wanted to leave an honest review here. I've had lower back midback and lower back problems for a few years now. The last six months have been bad, with relief from sciatica only coming to fruition within the last month and a half. I've never used this while my sciatica was at it's worst. Relief came with chiropractic help (for me), standing all day, and constantly working on good posture (before Curble). My Chiropractor would always remind me to keep keep my correct posture at the end of my back adjustments. He would always (gently) put press his knee into my lower back and pull my shoulders and their blades back, and he would have me sit there for five minutes to get used to feeling the curve and the arch. This chair does just that, it serves as a constant reminder to keep good posture. I've read reviews from some people that this made their lower back pain and sciatica worse...Allow me to reiterate: If you have bad sciatica, or Piriformis, you might not be able to sit or lean comfortably in any direction. If your sciatica is bad enough, just keeping correct posture might act as a 'stretch' and hurt. I say this because, intrinsically: This seat will force you into a proper posture. Please note: Some people will probably instinctually lean back in this chair, using their lower back muscles to counter the resistance of the chair that forces good posture: DO NOT lean back. This chair's resistance is meant to keep you from leaning back, and if you lean back far enough in this chair: you'll suffer the consequences of bad posture.. I've also read that some people didn't like the bucket like seat. I've experimented with putting my posterior into it all the way, and then just sitting on it as normal. When your cheeks sit evenly on the pads, and you don't try to shove your butt all the way back, it works best. The tops of the chair apply pressure to your towards your mid-lower-thoracic region, and this allows for reminder to keep your lower back curved and to exercise the muscles that keep the lower back curved. I have never had back pain after using this seat. This is a durable product, and the plastic (perhaps a composite) will last for years. It can be brought to baseball games, or race tracks, and can be used to make sitting on the floor or concrete much easy. The thing about sciatica is, sitting on soft surfaces is terrible...Curble allows you to keep good posture while sitting on the couch, the bed, the floor, on concrete, on chairs, on benches, on stools, in car seats with no lumbar support, et al. I LOVE this product. Even if you don't have back problems, I would highly recommend this product to keep good lower back posture...You've never had lower back pain, until you start searching for easy, quick, and painless ways to commit suicide (b/c living with the pain can be unbearable). If you are in the midst of terrible sciatica, sitting might be very painful for you and I recommend standing and working on posture for weeks. If you sit, make sure you are conscious of keeping the curve in your lower back and sit on the edge of the couch (If you don't have this product). Bad sciatica and Piriformis make the muscles tight, and stretching them (even the act of sitting in correct posture) can make your pain worse...Curble is a preventative measure and should not be used as means to 'recline' or 'lounge'. It's for correcting posture. Once your Sciatica or Piriformis (or both) become bearable so that you can sit for 10 minutes, I would recommend this product. If you can sit for 10 minutes, get this product right away. If you can't sit for more than 10 minutes, you need professional help and a good chiropractor. When standing becomes too exhausting, take a break in this chair and feel the benefits of good posture. Great product. Make sure you use it correctly. It's not a rocking chair, it's and you're probably not meant to shove your 'posterior' or butt all the way back. Sit in it normally, and the backs of the chair will do the rest for you. This item was purchased to provide the gentle posture correction that I need (back support). I ordered a set of two in addition to covers. When it arrived I was totally impressed with the TOP QUALITY materials used to create this innovative but effective “seat” as well as the covers. The design is GENIUS! I am using one “chair” on my expensive sofa (the back of which slants at an uncomfortable angle backward, creating a backache for me all night); the other one will be used to eliminate the back pain that I experience in the seats of most vehicles. I have sciatic and lower back pain issues. I believe that my time sitting in desk chair contributes to it, as does time sitting in our “comfortable” upholstered chairs in front of the TV. I decided to find something that would support and correct my posture in all chairs. This item seemed to be the perfect solution. When I first sat in it I thought: Ok, a little uncomfortable but it definitely puts my posture in the correct position. I used it for a couple of days in every chair before giving up on it. I told my wife that it was just too uncomfortable digging into my upper back. She suggested I get a larger size. This IS the largest size, it’s sold as the Adult size and is even marked Grand. Intrigued, she - who has never complained of back issues - asked if she could try it. Bingo! She loves it! Very comfortable and she can’t wait to use it on an upcoming car trip. That’s the lesson here: The Curble posture seat works, but it’s sized for shorter people. I’m 6’2” and could not get comfortable with the upper portion digging into my back; my wife is 5’2” and it fits her perfectly. Go figure.

I wasn’t sure about this product when I ordered it— it didn’t look comfortable. But it’s fantastic! It’s very comfortable to sit in and better yet it feels great when you get out of the chair. I bought two of them so I can have one in my office and one on the couch to watch TV. The soreness in my hip is gone when I get up. Great product!

Fantastic for correcting posture and relieving back pain from sitting in a chair all day. But it’s just created another problem, my butt is sore all day! The design is flawed. They need to remake this with a thick seat cushion. I’m researching one to purchase separately and I’m hoping that works. It’s also really ugly :/ I wish they had other colors.

After using it the first time, I felt immediate relief! I always thought the chair that I had gave me good lumbar support but I was sadly mistaken. Everything I ever wished it for in comfort in a chair has been achieved by this device. My back pain has been alleviated and I actually sleep much better. I never realized the aches and pains that I had were caused by how I was sitting in the chair so not only do I have better posture, I can sit for a longer period of time and concentrate on the work I need to do and have no pain in the process. I never thought that was possible.

I bought this curble chair for my husband after his back surgery. It is wonderful. Before, he tried all types of cushions and/or pillows, but none of them worked. This is an amazing product and corrects poor posture issues while sitting. It's a great product and my husband and I highly recommend it.
