It doesn't take up much space, which makes it perfect for a home gym, apartment, or anyone with limited room. When unfolded, the machine feels very stable on the floor with no wobbling, even during more intense workouts. Despite its compact footprint, the sturdy construction gives me confidence every time I use it. One of the best things about this machine is its multiple workout modes. Besides the traditional stair-climbing mode, it can also be converted into ski mode and ramp mode. Having three workout modes in one machine helps target different muscle groups and keeps my workouts from becoming repetitive.     • BUYER BEWARE!!!! Completely useless item. No free returns. Paid 44 dollars for return.

Completely useless item. You won't break a bead of sweat and will give you knee pain if used for just 40 minutes and buyer will not issue refund after I sent the item back in three days with the return label and paid 43 dollars for the return!!!! I contacted amazon customer service and they said they will try to contact this scammer from their side but so far no refund after all the effort and cost of shipping it back. The skiing mode is a complete joke. You are better off walking around the house. You will just feel like an idiot. It has zero resistance. It is as much exercise as sitting on the edge of your bed and dangling your legs in the air. With higher incline, you will have to lean forward too much. But either way, you will burn much less calories than taking a brisk walk. Don't fall for the images of the athletic looking models. That is just a marketing gimmick. It is noisy but I didn't mind that. Amazon should not be permitting these scammers on their site. Edit: I finally got my refund. The seller got my item as per USPS tracking on Feb 11 th and after three phone calls to amazon customer service , I finally got my refund on Feb 26th ... show more

Great value for the money. Easy to set up and get started with your workout. I appreciate how it can collapse to save space. My only issue is that I struggle when trying to shift it into gear for the different levels of use. The part of the machinery that is supposed to to slide up and down to shift levels can be rather challenging to move. Maybe it needs to be oiled or something but it is very hard to move. I am not a small person. I weigh 275 pounds and am 5’5”. Most things I buy cannot accommodate my weight. This machine can. It is easy to use and is very durable! Once it is assembled the machine is very strong and stable. A friend assembled it for me and told me that because of the video that is emailed after purchase and reading the instructions the assembly was not difficult. This is a compact machine and folds up nicely, although I do keep it out because I use it several times a day. If you are looking for a treadmill I think this will save you money in the long run because you can use it three different ways and you can’t do that with a regular treadmill. I waited until I completed a virtual challenge to make, walking 50 miles on the machine which took 9 days, before making my evaluation of this machine. You get what you pay for. There's no resistance at all and hitting the bottom is very loud and uncushioned by rubber. Just plastic hitting metal. A positive thing is the ability to swap the incline. I've had this stair stepper for a year. Actually just shy of a year by a couple of weeks. I loved it. Did exactly what I was hoping. Easy set up. Doesn't take up a ton of space. Easy to adjust to the different levels. Noise level is ok. Stability feels fine but when I really get going on it and speed up, I did tip over slightly a few times. Here's the reason for the drop to 3 stars though -- I cannot find a way to easily communicate to let them know I need a replacement part, if that's even possible, which I have no idea. The cord that connects at the bottom is worn makong it unsafe/unusable. And as I said, I've had this machine for just under a year. I don't even use it every single day or every single week. I'm an inconsistent-oh want to go on vacation- oh I got back from vacation and ate too much type of user. What a bummer. ... show more
