We have a 16 year outdoor feral cat who frequents the backyard during the summer to hang out & cool down in the shade. (He's got a cat condo on the enclosed front porch with a pet heating pad during winter, but likes sleeping outside on his chair out back during summer). Noticed it's getting more difficult for him to climb the 6 ft. fence, so we bought this so he could hop through the opening easily; we tape up the flap because he's won't use it otherwise. The plastic does get Very Hot as it faces the north, but we put up an umbrella to shade it; we're experiencing summer heat but it's only May😥. It was a little tricky installing it through cedar fence boards, but we made it work. Seems to be sturdy.     • It works and it’s perfect
I put in my garage door. A regular metal garage door, I used a jigsaw and cut the hole out and put it in. It is really that simple and anyone with two arms and a brain can install this; I’d assume. Get it! You cannot beat the price and it does lock both ways if needed

Read the sizes to be sure your pet will fit. I have a larger cat, and XL was the correct size. Installation isn't difficult, but the written instructions are not super clear if you're not already somewhat handy. Came in quickly, pretty easy to install and my cats love it. The only complaint I can say about it is the locking mechanism other than that love it. Thought I'd like the lock feature but it sucks, they slide really easy so when the cats go through they lock themselves in or out. Had to tape them so they don't lock.

Perfect for our catio! We have a smaller cat door to let our cats outside and this was an addition to our catio. It's bigger than our other cat door and so easy to install. We will probably buy another to upgrade our old one!
