As a reference point, I live in New Jersey with its' four seasons - sometimes a harsh winter or full sun (UV). I've had an 18' x 33' above ground oval pool for well over 23 years and have replaced the winterizing cover almost every 3 years during the pool life. Consequently, I've had a lot of experience with different brands and makes. I never skimped when making my purchase and did a fair amount of research in advance. I never stressed the covers, installed them just as recommended (with cable through the grommets) and used recommended plastic clips to secure them to the rails to avoid wind damage. I removed leaves and debris during the fall and drained rain/snow to keep impact minimal. Although many companies promote a warranty for their product, naturally it's a sliding scale with a rapid decline in 'reimbursement' and hardly worth the effort to attempt a return and replacement. Hands down this is the best pool cover I've ever purchased. It is extremely well made, very durable and after more than a half year of fall and winter use, looks and feels brand new. The material has bulk, creates a terrific barrier and the stitching and edging couldn't be better. Unlike previous covers, this does not exhibit any wear along the edges, where it meets the pool rails or any other location. It is evident that the company has taken professional care in producing a first rate product. It was well packaged with the associated parts and instructions. Although it included a heavy duty pillow, every year that I used one the pillow would eventually fail and didn't really provide any noticeable protection or advantage. Snow and rain appears to put undue pressure on the pillow and cover, and the water would freeze none-the-less. Using a gravity drain and keeping on top of it works every bit as well. This cover performed extremely well under the same hard weather and freezing conditions. I highly recommend this cover and am so happy to find a manufacturer that builds a quality product at a time when so many others are cutting corners and take little pride in what they produce. I for one am a very happy customer!

This is my fourth year owning and having to cover my 15’ X 30’ above ground pool. This will be the third cover I’ve had to purchase because all the past ones either ripped or came apart at the seams, due to poor quality. As soon as I opened the box of the Yankee Pool pillow tarp cover and started unfolding it to put on the pool for the winter, I could tell instantly, this is a completely new level of quality tarp cover. The quality of the Yankee pool cover is far superior to all 3 of the past brand X covers that have failed me. You get what you pay for, so spend the very small amount extra to get the quality of the Yankee Pool Pillow Tarp Cover, because you will not regret it. I just can’t believe how thick this cover is, and the size of it is perfect with extra width and length to spare!! I can tell that this one is going to last for years to come. And also get the Yankee Pool Pillow to fit your pool for under the cover. The pillow quality is just as amazing as the tarp cover.

This cover lasted one season before it had a high number of holes in the 2nd winter. After taking off the cover we had to pump out water for numerous hours before we could attach anything. Would never buy this again and highly do NOT recommend this product.

I purchased a cover for my 15x30 oval above ground pool from another company on Amazon. When we opened the pool a seam had split. The company was responsive and honored their warranty however the replacement cover had the same problem. It was thin and cheaply made. As soon as this cover by Yankee was delivered I immediately knew changing brands was the right decision. The box was very heavy. The cover is thick and well made. Of course it is more than twice the cost of the other cover but if it saves me the cost and aggravation of clearing up green filthy pool water and having to pay my pool company a second time to cover the pool for winter it is well worth the price. I do not understand anyone saying this cover is thin. I have owned a pool for over 30 yrs and this Yankee cover is well made and worth the cost.

I was initially impressed with the cover when I pulled it out of the box and put it on the pool. It seemed sturdy and was relatively easy to apply. Initially the water resistance from the rain was good, but after the winter, I noticed a number of holes started popped up in the cover. I was hoping to get at least another season out of it, but with the number of holes that have come up, I don’t see that being viable.
