Works great and very easy to install. The only con is that you most times have to buy it separately from the lock which makes the lock pricey. However the app and ease and consistency of use is really nice.

We have the Yale Door Lock installed on a rental home. We needed to assign different access to guests and this little gadget was the ticket. The WiFi adaptor was easy to install but the sensor was a bit of a mystery since the instructions were very vague and did not include any data about the sensor or how to install it. A quick YouTube search and “Phil” provided superb installation guidance. This adaptor allows mobile lock and unlock access. Convenient when needed if you forgot to lock the door. Features an auto lock with a timer you can set at 1m +. Also features your phones ability to unlock once you reach a certain distance from the door. This is a game changer for my Yale touchscreen door lock! Wish I had purchased sooner! Set up was pretty easy once I watched a few videos online. Would recommend doing so!! Overall great addition to my door lock!! Very happy!

Setup was easy. You can give codes or app access to guests, it works with Alexa, Google and Apple and it is much better than the “connect” module only for Yale Lock 1. Out lock is more usable than before

So easy to instal and use! The fact that I get notified when each code is used, and that I can cancel codes any time is such a benefit, especially as we remodel. I can give each contractor their own code, I can give a neighbor a code to bring things in when I’m not home. When it becomes a furnished rental each renter will be able to have their own codes and we won’t need to worry about lost or copied keys. I can open the door even if I’m in another state! The only mixed feelings about this product are that you need it in the first place. I have an existing Yale lock with a zigbee module to connect to Alexa. Until one day it didn’t and it refused to reconnect. I searched online and found out this was the upgrade needed. It was easy to install and fixed everything and greatly increased the Yale Assure lock’s capabilities. I can now set keys from the app and get notices when the keys are used. I also have it set for the lock to automatically lock if left unlocked for too long or my phone is a certain range away. And finally it does come with a smaller piece to mount on your door jamb that will notify if your door is left open (not just unlocked). So I’m happy I got it and I’m happy with the expanded functions, but that fact that you need this for your smart product to actually be smart is silly. I would give it 4.5 stars as it’s a small annoyance with the activity tab being delayed but otherwise it works like it’s supposed to. I really like the Auto Unlock feature as it comes in handy when your hands are full. I’m going to order one for my front door as well.
