I did not find the setup to be as easy as others have said, but now that I have it installed I really like it. It is hard for me to get up for the door, so opening it from my seat is great. With the wifi connection, if I am away I can remotely control the door as well. I also got the keypad, so other people I trust can also get in, each with their own code. There is a log of all the comings and goings. One of the best parts is I kept my old deadbolt lock and keys, so the landlord can still have access when necessary. So I can lock/unlock my door with keypad, or my phone, or my keys. Love it! ... show more

We have had smart fingerprint and code video doorbells, and thought we'd brought one of them when we moved, but in the month since we moved cannot find the old lock. So we looked up alternatives and decided we didn't need a video doorbell, but definitely wanted to make it easier to get in and out, especially since most of the time we have dog leashes, boxes, or groceries in hand that fumbling with keys is not ideal. This lock made by the well-respected Yale brand, seemed to have features that we needed, and then we found it had even more than we expected. Installation was super quick and easy, with step by step videos with prompts to guide you through. Once on, not only can we use the app (or watch app) to lock and unlock our door, we can also set it up so that it recognizes our phones proximity and auto-locks when we leave (can set duration for how long after we leave) and auto-unlocks when it senses we've returned. It's spooky how convenient it is. There's also a sensor (the little white pill right of the lock on the door frame) that detects if the door is closed, ajar, etc. I only wish that the sensor matched the lock - because it looks odd not aligning. The same could be set about the plug-in hub, but less so since it's not mounted next to the lock. ... show more
