I've been working with the twin pack in purple and haven't been disappointed. The color's a nice medium shade that fits in nicely for either fills or borders depending on the project. Some embroidery assortments don't include a ton of violet options and this is a good staple color. I used it in the mane of the pink pegasus, the hooves and body outline of the unicorn and the primary clothing color of the little nerd. The only breakage I encountered came courtesy of outside interference by my pet cat so it's pretty strong. With two spools I don't have to worry about running out for quite some time!

This is a beautiful dark brown. I made these mug rugs for friends and wanted to use this color. The spool is huge so I used a thread stand with my regular Janome embroidery machine. I found it worked best when I cut a nylon and put it over the spool to help with tension. A thread net may work if you have a large one and a similar set up. I'm happy with the final results and have lots of dark brown thread for future projects.
