  • No noise, no wobble, no problem
Setup was very easy. Once done it was very sturdy, not a touch of wobble anywhere. I saw a few reviews that people had issues with noise on the highway. I drove with it yesterday for the first time and had three pairs of skis on the rack at speeds up to 80 MPH. I didn't notice any noise at all. Using with a Mazda CX-9 but it should fit any standard cross bars. ... show more

  • Holds the skis well
Easy to install and did a great job of toting our skis and snowboards to the hill. No problems after 2 years of use.

  • Just WOW..
We purchased this rack the beginning of winter and let's just say it's held up through a couple of mishaps. The 2nd time we used it, we were in the driveway and the kids were removing their snowboards. Silly me, I assumed they closed the rack so that I can pull into the garage. I start to pull in and next thing I know, we hear a loud noise. I get out and see the boys didn't put the rack down and so both racks were sticking up when I went into the garage. Of course, I'm freaking out thinking it's damaged and unusable. My husband looked it over and said it seems to be ok. The 3rd time we used it, I'm freaking out thinking the rack is going to fly off but thankfully it held up. Phewww. We ended up having to replace our garage door opener since it died. The new opener was put in and for some reason, when I was pulling in, the sensor acted up and the garage door started to go down onto my roof while I was pulling in. Crash it goes.. Yup I broke our garage door (we had to replace it) but you know what saved my car, the roof rack. LOL. Yup the roof rack held up through both mishaps. So needless to say, this item is sturdy and reliable. :o) ... show more

  • Good for the Price
Bought this because it was a cheaper option. Works as advertised. I have it on my 2021 Outback. Driven on highways going 75 mph and it's held up. Super easy to install, should fit a wide variety of racks as well with the adjustable mount. Took probably about 20 min to assemble and put on the car. Only knocks on it is that it is definitely not aerodynamic. I knew it would create some wind resistance, but there is wind noise when you go above 40 with a empty rack. I also wish some more of the components were metal instead of plastic. Overall its fine and does what it is suppose to. But give it 4 stars for those 2 reasons. Looking back, I wish I would have paid the extra money for the low profile version, but overall happy with it. ... show more

  • Easy install
Fit my 2005 WRX wagon OEM rail perfectly. Install is really simple. Haven't done a sound test with the boards. It seem sturdy, will update when winter comes around.

These fit and worked very well.

  • Despite the bad reviews
I was very hesitant to buy these because of all of the bad reviews regarding the noise, but I also didn't want to pay $200 more for the "better" brand. The wind noise caused by the racks is minimal IF you have skis or snowboards in them. I drove 4 and a half hours to Mammoth this weekend, going 90+ mph at times with no issues with the noise. BUT, when the racks are empty, the wind noise becomes very noticeable after reaching around 60 mph. I think this is because the skis create a gap in the racks for air to pass through, significantly lessening the noise. Just take the racks off when you're not using them. It takes less than 20 minutes to install/uninstall. ... show more

  • Falls apart
Great rack with a few minor issues that unfortunately render it useless. 1, if you do not have skis in it, the frequency of the car driving on mountain roads combined with the slight rattle of the rack causes the car noise to be extremely loud. 2, the clips are not sturdy, and will get lost. We cannot use ours because the clips fell off while moving it. We cannot use ours as the clips fell apart and do not fit well together anymore. ... show more
