Super sturdy cage, one of the latches was initially too tight but very easy fix during assembly. It's safe for my green cheek and he has plenty of space. I do have to keep the small doors zip tied since he can let himself in and out, but I've had that with every cage for this particular bird.

This all metal cage with a 1/2 in bar spacing is perfect for my 4 male rats. It provides plenty of Sq. Footage and great climbing opportunities. No possibility of my rats chewing through this metal. Way too many doors for rats that are easy for them to open, had to zip tie them shut. The cage is super beautiful and I love the color. People said assembly was hard but I rather enjoyed it and did it alone in a little under an hour. Would've been faster if I had help holding some pieces. Instructions are fine. Cage is NOT attached to the base and can come off easily. I secured to the base using another reviews method. Overall it's a fantastic all metal cage.

The media could not be loaded. I am thoroughly impressed with this cage. I was on the fence for a little while between this and a Critter Nation. I’ve had a Critter Nation cage prior to this one and I was worried that this would seem like a cheap knockoff. I was blown away when it arrived. It was in pristine condition, nothing bent or broken. It uses all the same sized screws so no worry of putting one in the wrong location. It took me about 45 minutes to completely assemble it. (I used a cordless drill with an allen key bit attachment and a torque setting of 12) every piece lined up and every screw secured tight. A bit of advice: as you are assembling the cage, don’t put the screws in tight. Leave some play so that the cage might feel a little wobbly until you get it all assembled, then start at one side and check for squareness. Hold the frame steady and then crank down the screws on a single side. Follow up with the rest. Everything should align the way it is supposed to. The cage feels slightly less heavy construction wise in contrast to a CN, but that makes it easier to relocate when cleaning. This cage *is* suitable for pet rats, even juveniles. The bar spacing is less than a dime width. **see attached image for reference**. This cage is made be used as a bird enclosure or as a small animal cage. In addition to the crossed wire platforms, it came with 6 wooden perches which I hot glued some thin wood project boards to in order to give my rats more area on which to play. It also came with a coiled climbing rope and bell that has a flexible wire inside you can bend to desired shape as well as 8 water and seed cups and smaller sliding door openings for which to utilize them, however, since I won’t be needing to use those, I simply keep the sliding doors closed. (They have a secured semi lock position, so no worries about needing to zip tie them to keep curious rats from opening) Also, this cage is huge! I already had a stand set up for the cage so I ended up not using the one that came with it. The front two doors give you access to all areas of the cage, and if for some reason you aren’t able to get to a far corner, you can use one of the smaller doors. The locks are heavy duty and keep the doors secured and locked in place. All in all, you simply can’t beat this cage for value, size and quality. I am extremely happy about this purchase and so are my rat boys! **UPDATE** I’ve had the cage close to a year now and no complaints. In fact, as my 6 male rats grew bigger, I decided they needed more space and purchased a second cage which I connected to the first, using metal zip ties and the side doors as a pass through. I believe I can do some permanent modifications to take out the side panels and utilize the cages as a single open space though which I plan to try this weekend. Again, this is such a great cage, especially at the price!

This cage was fairly easy for me to put together it took me about an hour or less (just by myself) Though this cage was meant for birds please keep in mind that the ladders and flooring should be covered if you decide to buy this for your chins. Im going to leave the cage empty and buy a bunch of wood platforms and other things to make it look more filling and safe. One of my chins actually got her foot caught in one of those metal ladders and she had to be amputated. so please please keep your chins safe and dont use the ladders or at least cover them. again, this cage is meant for birds but it is a really good size for chinchillas! another thing i dont really like is that the cage itself isnt attached to the bottom with the wheels. its not sturdy if you place it on top of it. you could either screw it together using a drill or just dont use the bottom part with the wheels, it does just fine without it. also theres little doors around the cage make sure to ziptie or cover those too, chins will find their way out somehow. i got the white version of this cage, its not pure white but marbled. its really pretty and i dont regret my purchase at all! UPDATE! i finally finished the interior for my chins and it works great! i love how it looks, and im glad they cant bite off the white since its marble. i love the height i prefer this over the ferret nation. (i own that one as well) i bought most of my ledges off of etsy. if youre getting this cage for a chinchilla its good for 2 max. remember to not use the ladders!! see picture for before and after <3

The media could not be loaded. We really love the look of the white but it’s more of a grey and the finish is textured also. It’s a little wobbly but we managed to work that out. We use it for our sugar gliders and they really like the amount of open space they have to roam. It was easy to assemble and not too heavy either. Love the wheels so we can roll it out and clean the cage with ease. The food trays are easy to replace. Excellent purchase and I highly recommend this cage for sugar gliders or similar pets.

Very hard to find the CORRECT chinnchilla cage. It is a challenge a lil bit to get together but well worth the effort.Also these types of critters can not get wet so if the bottle leaks it goes into a tray at botto, of cage, Cleaning is stupid simple wipe everything down brush towards the open cage floor rail area it will drop on the tray then remove tray dump spray and wipe thats it. BONUS we got the one on wheels 2 reason we have rescue dogs and a curious grandchild. So just wheel the lil critter to safer location its no more lugging a huge cage to calm a pupper dog or a child trying to feed it crayons and such lmao. OH side note plenty of room to add like lil houses and toys as well.Also multile places open again if worried about child entry those metal clip type things ppl use on keys and such is all you need.
