So far so good it’s a great size was not hard to put together the doors were not on right when we got it but it was simple to take them off and slide them into place. It seems very sturdy ! It has a slide out tray plus the bottom metal bars slide out to make for easy cleaning! The ramps were a little hard to snap into place but it seems like once you get them snapped in they will hold on tight the wheels were a little hard to get into place but they are snug so they will stay in place while moving around. Once it was put together it was very easy to move and not to heavy to get upstairs

This cage is amazing! Lots of room with multiple levels, and my pets love exploring it. The metal is sturdy, the wheels make it easy to move, and the doors give good access for cleaning and feeding. Perfect for ferrets or rabbits—definitely worth the price.

This cage was easy to set up except for the fact that it doesn’t tell you which way to screw on the bottom piece! I’m not sure how to explain it but if the bottom seems to not look perfect, them maybe you have it upside down. Very sturdy. Very attractive!! It will need some kind of drop cloth/tray/pet rug under it because a skirt would block the bottom door. We have a baby chinchilla (an amazing pet, by the way— he brings lots of smiles!). He will grow out of this in less than a year but it gets you used to the idea that cages take up a lot of space. And once you’re bonded, you don’t care anymore! So get this cage. We have already decided on the next cage which is so perfect for chinchillas and ferrets. Maybe even slightly bigger active pets. It’s the mid Midwest critter nation deluxe small animal cage, double story. If you have plenty of room, get this one first if you decide to own these critters! I can’t review this cage yet since I don’t own it, but my daughters’ bff has it and we absolutely love it! It’s already in the shopping cart!! Oh, and unless you have an extremely devious cat, this seems very safe for houses with cats. I don’t know if I’d trust large dogs, but small dogs would probably bond with a chinchilla. Our chinchilla is not at all disturbed by our cats. They touch noses and then ignore each other.

This is a decent enough cage. Assembly goes much smoother if you have two people, but bear in mind that you might have to put some elbow grease into it (some of the metal pieces were warped so fitting them together required some strength.) Because the bar spacing is bigger than a half an inch, I needed to modify this cage so my rats wouldn't escape, since without it they slipped right out of the bars. I ended up buying some hardware cloth and zip tying it to the cage (if you need instructions for this, there's a YouTube video tutorial.) This made securing my cloth cage liners tricky, since I used binder clips to secure those to the bars, but the hardware cloth needed to be fairly snug against the bars. Because hardware cloth isn't smooth metal and because the cage doors are somewhat small, I was often littered with scratches during the cleaning process 😅 (If you're going to use this cage for rats, please consider lining all the grates and ramps with cloth to provide some cushion for their feet.) Beyond difficulty with the cleaning process, the reason I switched over to the Critter Nation cage was due to the metal grates on the bottom of the cage- great for preventing chewing, but I didn't want my ratties to develop bumblefoot (replacing the bottom grate with the plastic tray didn't work, as this left too much space for them to escape.) The wheels also kind of suck- they pop off pretty easily, but it is nice to be able to move the cage around easily when needed (I like to take my cage outside for cleaning, and put the cage in a different room at night time so my cat doesn't terrorize my rats.) In any event, if you can't afford a better cage, this will do, as long as you're willing to deal with some annoyances and potential modifications depending on your critter. But, if you can afford it, I recommend just investing in a Critter Nation cage.

This cage is amazing. I own dumbo rats and they needed exercise. Traded in their old cage for this. Great size has four sets of stairs for plenty of exercise (put food bowl on top level). Its roomy, looks great in my room and is super easy to clean! i would recommend this item all owners of small pets! I can see them at all times, and they seem happy!

We ordered this cage for my daughter who wanted pet rats. We got everything, set the cage up which was extremely easy to assemble. We love the cage. The problem was the rats walked right out between the bars. This was our own fault because I seen review pics of rats in the cage and assumed it would be ok. We just attached chicken wire to outside of the cage which can be removed when her rats get larger. The rats love the cage, sometimes she opens the doors so they can come/go and they just stay in their cage. It's easy to clean.
