    • Great for Shrub and Small Tree Removal
Bought this specifically to help me remove old, overgrown shrubs around my house. The alternative was to dig each of these large shrubs out by hand but being 76 years old that would have taken me days to complete. So I put a 5/16” 70 grade chain around the base of the shrubs and then connected the chain to the Farm Jack and out they came. I’ll probably also use it to re-level my shed since it has the power to lift it up. This is a very powerful tool and from what I read can also be used as a “come-along”. Purchased first jack probably 40+ years ago. The boys finally bent it beyond repair trying to get a truck out of a creek bed chasing cattle .So this one should out last me hopefully since I’m 81 years young!

    • Handle is cheap low carbon steel
I was trying to lift 4,500 pounds, so I one jack under the box and tried to lift it up. It was a very straight lift about 2 feet. As I started to jack, the handle started to bend. I knew the weight of the box, because it was weighted on the scales at the depot. So, I got the 2nd jack and tried to use both and since they are rated for 6,000 lbs each, I thought i should not have any issues. Started to jack with the 2 jacks and booth handles bent easily. The handle material is a cheap low carbon steel and it has NO strength. Go buy some hydraulic jacks and forget these!!!! ... show more

Had a jack almost like this one from another supplier which failed when a pin fell out and got lost. This new model includes a design change that makes that problem much less likely. We use this to pull and lift fence posts and other farm chores. Lots of lift. A heavy tool, so handle with care.
