We bought a 12 foot above ground pool for grandkids. 1st year I must have changed those silly cartridge filters a hundred times. They are a worthless filtration system. We put the pool up for winter and threw cartridge filter system away. This year I ordered the sand filter. Best money ever spent. Hooked it up easily. It does all the work. Water stays crystal clear. Pump never needs anything. This filter cost less than I spent on filter cartridges last year a d they didnt work. Any of these above ground pools can be changed to a sand filter with ease. If you have a cartridge filter on a pool and switch to this filter…you will finally enjoy the pool. Great product. I actually bought a larger size filter than I needed so I can buy a larger pool next year

The media could not be loaded. Performance: my pump works great the first 4 wks. (We received it may 31,2024 prepare area and start using the pump and filter July 5, 2024). Then the pump stop on its own in less than an hour of use. First I think it get clogged so I Clean all filter taking everything out it wasn’t clogged.Then I assembled it and starred it again she start but the flow was less without the same power. So I turned it off write to Amazon they said I have to contact customer service from de seller. So they contacted me with the seller. The seller answer yesterday (2 days later) with more questions and non answer. I ask them to help me troubleshoot it. I keep waiting and answer today nothing happened. I connected the pump again she still stop on its own and the pump force or flow it’s less than 3/4 of what it was. My pool is a best way 4024 gallons of water. And this machine said it’s up to 10,000 gallons of water. By now I feel robbed with something that didn’t deliver as they said and without answers. I would love a refund. First photo shows how the water flow it’s right now. Second photo how the water flow was. It almost when to their side of a round 14” diameter above the ground pool.

Size: 13" Sand Filter with Pump
Very simple and easy to set up. Cleaned and cleared my 16' x 48" pool in less than 24 hours, after sitting covered all winter. However, be sure to tighten the bolts that hold the pump halves together BEFORE you install it. I didn't, and after about 30 minutes of operation, it sprung 3 leaks. One on each side and one on the top. I tightened all the bolts down as best as I could with the pump running and stopped. The leaks slowed, but never stopped completely. So, instead of draining everything, I put Flex Seal all around the seal where the pump halves meet. I was surprised as to how quickly and completely the leaks stopped! Kudos to Flex Seal, I was never a believer! Guess I'll be taking it all apart at the end of the season.

We've used this pump for two years now and had no problems with it! Winterizing it and putting it away for the year, and I'm sure it'll start right back up next year without issue. Will never go back to a paper filter after using this thing. So much better.
