I purchased this for a pool back in summer of 2021 and it worked AMAZING!! Kept our pool clean all summer with minimal effort... so given that it worked so well, when we recently moved from that house into a new one and put a different pool up here I've decided to check this one out again... and then I saw the PRICE! I bought this brand new (not on a special sale or anything) from Amazon in 2021 for a TOTAL of $366.18 (taxes included). Now when I go to order it again I see the price is almost DOUBLE? For what?! What in the last 3 years has been changed so dramatically on this pump/filter that it's now worth so much more? Because from the pics on Amazon it hasn't changed at all. ... show more

I received the pump on June 6th my pool was very cloudy and 3 days later my pool is clear. I read some of the reviews and some had said this pump was no good,for me it works perfectly and it also has good suction power works good like my original pump that came with my pool

Some issues with leaking at fittings but could be operator error. Also, had no power once I went through all the steps. I finally had to open motor to see that there was a wire not connected. Their directions did not include this step so I’m thinking it was a factory error. After that it ran just fine. ... show more

    • Seems sufficient but weaker than I thought it would be
I ordered this filter last week and put it in just yesterday. The claims are that it can filter a little over 3k gallons of water per hour. I have an above ground pool, 18ft, approx. 8k gallons. I'm not sure that's entirely true. When I installed the filter the water wasn't green or filled with algae. It was pretty clean, aside from some debris on the bottom. The first thing I noticed was this filter doesn't push the water around as well as my previous cartridge filter. I don't foresee it moving the debris on the bottom, to the center of the pool. It just doesn't seem to have the amount of propulsion for that. I also noticed that the amount of suction at the skimmer is considerably less. I assume this is because of the amount of sand the water is being filtered through. As far as water clarity goes, I have noticed my pool is not as clear, yet. I hope that a few more days of running will clear the water. I think part of this is because some sand came out through the return when we first powered up the pump. Again, working with a sand filter is just something I'm not used to so there's a learning curve. I will say, the ease at putting this filter together was a happy surprise. We had hard piping from our previous filter to deal with but if this is going to be a fresh install on a new pool, you should have no problems. Broken. Was told I would need to buy a new one because they won't replace it .should not break after just a few years and it was well taken care of.

My pool has never been cleaner!! The filter system I wasted $800 on from the pool place was a joke. This keeps my maintenance to a bare minimum & my chemical costs. Put together by myself in no time & has been super easy to operate. Wouldn’t buy any other brand!

    • Horrible Product and Bad Customer Experience
I purchased the sand filter on 5/9/20 and it is now 8/13/20 and the pump has gone out. Before it went completely out the pump was dumping sand back into the pool. This was a much larger sand pump than the original one that came with my pool. However, at least the original one lasted a year. On top of that I have called the company several times and waited on hold for hours and no one ever answers the phone. This is crazy. I've only had one opportunity to swim in my pool once this yr and now the pump has gone out. It's August and extremely hot outside and my family cant use our pool. Do not purchase this prpduct because if something goes wrong they will avoid you at all cost rather than trying to assist you. This company sucks and do not care about the customers experience. ... show more

Super quiet and circulates my 27' x 52" aboveground very well. I got this Zeo ZeoSand Alternative Pool Sand Filter Media...to go in it and I must say it is much better than sand. I would buy again.
