Not sure why folks were having such a hard time seeing this pump and filter up, but I had no issues. All the fittings were standard pool pump fitting I purchased from my local pool supply store. Set it up in less than an hour and was clearing my water as soon a I turned it on. The pump is strong (1.5 HP) and the tank was plenty big for a 27 ft. round. I actually chose to go with the fiber balls as a filter instead of sand and it worked out beautifully. I would recommend this to anyone setting up their pool. This product is very poor quality and the company is even worse. I bought the filter and pump combo less than 3 months ago. The filter connections all leaked even with Teflon tape. Some of the connections are not a standard size and are larger than 2”. Typical pool connections are 1-1/4, 1-1/2, or 2”. The filter works nicely and does the job. The pump stopped working in under 3 months. The manufacturer told me to take apart the motor and check the shaft and impeller. They kept repeating that the return period has passed, which I understand, but I was shocked to find out there is no warranty on the pump motor. Typically, there is always a year warranty. I would never recommend or buy anything from this company. I would give them negative stars if I was able. I am angry that I had to give them 1 star just to post this earring to other buyers. AVOID AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOY LIKE WASTING MONEY. ... show more

Just hooked it up so not a long term review. …. This kit is pretty damn awesome. Way better than the small intex kit that came with the pool. Went from filthy to pretty damn clean in 2 hours. Tips. Get the intex adapter kit. Comes with 2 hose adapters you will need to make the inlet and outlet connect. (I think it’s $8 here on Amazon) the waste line is 1 1/5 female. Screws into the interior portion of the discharge pump. Get a 1-1/2” to 1/4” adapter and a 1/4 to 1/4 pvc nipple and it will connect to a standard hose for backwash. ... show more

Did not like that the pump motor is not weather proof and that it does not have a on/off switch installed on it. Had to have a GFI switched outlet installed to plug the motor into to safely turn the pump motor on or off for filter mode changes - filter to backwash, backwash to rinse, and so on.

Delivery was faster than expected and assembly was very straight forward, fast and easy. This pump works great for our 24 foot above ground pool and runs very quiet. I will update after we had it for a while.

Amazing filter and pump, I upgraded from a small Intex sand filter, wish I would have done this years ago. Adjust your outtake to about the 8 o clock position, this gives you a whirlpool motion that puts all the debris in the center, I just love it, thank you Amazon!!
