If you are considering getting a code reader for use at home. spend a few extra buck and purchase this bi-directional scan tool. You won't be disappointed as it not only can scan all modules in your vehicle but it performs actuation tests which I find handy in problem diagnostics. This one I'm reviewing came with 8 service functions you need so check them out in the product description. I use it with my android tablet but you can easily use you cell phone with the exact same results and the bluetooth connects quickly to your phone or tablet. ALL UPDATES ARE FREE FOR LIFE! No subscription fees ever. I have used this in acuations for EVAP testing and it closes the purge valve and the vent valve (If the manufacturer permits) and this is a must when smoke testing for leaks. This truly does what a $400 scan tool does but without the annual fees. Indispensable!

great for do it yourselfers. i have a 99 jeep Cherokee and 02 Silverado 1500. it does almost everything a 5k scanner can do. true it is limited but it will get the job done. I'm using an android phone and a fire tablet gen 10. i got mine a30 for 99$ on sale, one of the best tools i have bought and can't wait to really put it to a test.

It does everything that I high end shop scanner will do. Bi-directional, live data, you name it. Reads data from my 2017 GMC Sierra and 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid. Small problem at first reading the GMC data but a quick response from Tech Support had me up and running quickly.
