I rarely write reviews but this deserves my time. XSPAK should sponsor me by now lol I've been playing pickleball for 1 year and 7 months every day. I've played in Open Pro using this paddle. Here are the paddles I owned: Joola Ben Johns Hyperion CFS 16 - Gave me tennis elbow Joola Simone Jardim Hyperion CFS Swift - Gave me wrist pain Selkirk Power Air - Sold it coz I kept hitting that freaking hole on my rolls Selkirk Amped fiberglass - Good but noticeable dead spot ProKennex Pro flight - Hard to reset CRB1 (illegal and legal) - XSPAK is lighter than this which I preferred Selkirk Labs Project 006 - Finally they got rid of that freaking hole so this is my backup just in case the umpire didn't allow my XSPAK (Yes true story, one of my tournaments, they almost did not let me use my XSPAK after touching the surface and failed to search it on the list of legal paddles, but after re-searching they found it.) Gearbox Pro Power Fusion - Sold it Anyway Pros - Best Control - Best for dink battles and surprise rolls/lob - Tennis elbow and wrist problems gone! - Most Spin I can generate (They call me the Spin Doctor) - Good enough power for winners (If you can generate power better try this) - Best for resets and 3rd shot drop - Had the most unreturnable serve and unreturnable return of serve so far (hey don't hate) - More accurate Top Spin lob - IT'S CHEAP! So far I bought 3 of these. All paddles wear off, I would rather spend $99 for a new one than hope my $200+ paddles will last. Cons - All of my XSPAK damage was on the upper right and left hand corner of the guard tape being ripped open maybe because I always hit that side on my slices (check photo) - I wish they supply an eraser similar to CRBN for free because it gets dirty - The logo sticker at the bottom of the handle goes off - Don't use that tennis pro athlete on your product page.     • Great control paddle, tremendous value!

I bought this paddle because I've been wanting to try a standard shape and this is a very cost effective way to do it. It's not thermoformed, so this plays very soft. Don't try to hit huge drives with it, the power is not there to support that style of play. It makes up for it with control to spare and the light weight and (apparently) low swing weight makes for a fast paddle at the kitchen line. It took me some time to adjust to this, but once I did I had an absolute blast playing with the XSPAK. It has a nice, tacky standard grip, and the paddle cover is a bonus. While I would like the grip to be a bit longer, keeping it short helps keep the weight down. Considering that I paid $55 after using several discounts, I call this paddle an absolute steal of a deal. I would give this paddle a 4.5 rating if possible but my review is closer to 4 than 5 stars. I'm a 3.5 player, play 1-2 times per week. Pros: Great control, especially for kitchen line or dink play Pretty good spin, excellent when compared to others in the same price point, but not elite. Balanced feel Durable- have used for 4 months without damaging the sides or face Cons: Not a power paddle, not very poppy- requires extra effort especially while playing deep. I also have to hit it harder on serves compared to other paddles Not in the elite level of spin - I get better power, spin, and similar control using my new Diadem Edge 18k power pro model. Less forgiving than some other models - I wouldn't say there are dead spots but beginners who can't consistently hit a ball squarely may hit the ball in the net frequently. Overall - great paddle for someone who is a beginner or intermediate player. Good entry level experience with a carbon fiber surface. My Diadem Edge 18k Power Pro elevated my game from 3.0 to 3.5 and offers better power and spin. It's significantly more expensive but better value in terms of performance at higher levels. ... show more

- I have been using this paddle non-stop for months now, and it is the best paddle for the price. It is comparable, if not better, to anything $150-$200. This has top-quality features and it is better than what most popular brands have to offer anywhere near this price point. I also like the subtle design in a world of flashy and loud branded paddles. - It's durable, light, and comfortable. It has held up with minimal wear. - The surface is premium in feel and performance as I seem to get all the power, spin, and control I want without any noticeable dead spots.     • An absolute GEM of a paddle

I don't even want to write this review because I wanted to keep this paddle a secret! Ya'll need to get this paddle ASAP. I got it about 2 weeks ago and ever since then my game has improved tremendously. During hand battles at the net, I find myself controlling the ball and hitting it to places I never was able to before. Even when I mishit, the ball tends to pop in play. On putaways, the ball just goes directly down like a laser. The carbon surface of the paddle is incredibly grippy and allows you to put a lot of spin on the ball. I'd put it up against any $300 paddle in terms of spin. The paddle has ample power for serves and drives. I was actually surprised at the power it gets as it's a 16mm and advertised for control. It's a little on the short side at 15.7 inches. Some players may not like that, but I actually think a short paddle allows you to whip around the ball easier. At $69 (promo price), this thing is an absolute steal. OK, secret's out now! Have fun and go whip some pickleball butts :) ... show more
