I purchased this for a family member's rotator cuff repair surgery, not knowing if this was a good idea, but I wanted him to have ice on hand for recovery and swelling. This is currently being used by a young person in his early twenties who needs it for post op recovery. He states that: It freezes in a reasonable time and gives the perfect amount of coldness, not TOO cold that it is uncomfortable and not warm at all. I secures very well with assistance and stays in place. It has good weight to it without it being too heavy for a sensitive post op shoulder. It does not drip, so that the surgical site stays dry. Definitely feels very therapeutic. Highly recommended!

Item as described. Quick delivery. I'm 6' 210 pounds and it fit good. If you follow instructions it works fine. It say's not to leave in freezer for to long or it could damage it. The cold lasted for about 20 minutes which really you should not be leaving it on longer that anyways. Good sturdy material very satisfied. Would recommend.

This has provided great pain relief after shoulder surgery. However, it's very hard to put on by yourself and doesn't conform to the body as well as I'd like. For example, it's hard to get it up close to the neck.

Looks like a quality piece with ample shoulder coverage. Thought it would be great for post rotator cuff surgery recovery but will be too heavy and too big for me to use comfortably. Sadly, will need to return it and try to find something smaller and lighter. Will be looking at weight more closely before I attempt to buy a different one.

you will need help putting this on once it has been frozen. It gets put in the freezer in a pouch, so its all folded up and hard to maneuver one handed. However- the PURE joy of ice on this painful shoulder, I can't tell you how nice that felt.

This product delivered as described. I used in recovery from rotator cuff surgery. Kept in freezer and used when shoulder twingy painful or achy. I appreciated the smooth vinyl and flocked sides difference, which worked either way, directly against the skin (flocking) or atop a shirt (plain side), without irritating the skin and getting a relevant cooling action. I found the arm strap a bit bothersome at times. It could be fussy putting on with one hand, enough so that early in recovery, I often left it off rather than fuss with it. I have no certain suggestion for different configuration that might work better. If you have someone on hand to help, no problem. This definitely offered both therapeutic and comfort pluses to my surgery recovery (icing quelled inflammation and eased hurt feelings). I am a tall and broad shouldered guy, this pack fit fine. Also note, I had two of these, different brands; this was the better quality one.
