Style: Shoulder Pad
This is one of my first Amazon reviews, but given this was part of a surgery I was pretty nervous about, wanted to leave my opinion. Overall, it has worked much better than I anticipated. Definitely recommend using small (airplane size) frozen water bottles instead of ice - it will easily fit 7-8 bottles. You can always add ice cubes after that, but it definitely keeps it cold much longer. After this surgery you’re not going to want to keep getting up and down to replace ice, or if you have a small freezer with limited ice making capacity, this is the way to go. Settings are easy to navigate. Used it while sleeping, 30 minutes ice cold circulation with pauses of 45-60 mins - most of the time remained an acceptable level of cold all night. Only complaint I would have is the straps to hold the shoulder ice pad in place are not ideal, particularly if you don’t have assistance. After this surgery you often have a sling with a thick square pillow between your arm and your abdomen, that has both a shoulder and a waist strap (to prevent external rotation of the shoulder, as well as outward rotation at the elbow, and flexing of the bicep.) In the first couple of weeks after surgery, before you are cleared to remove the square pillow and torso strap, there is not a lot clearance to work with getting the straps around all the parts of the sling as well as keeping the ice pack in the right place. Could probably use straps that are less wide and better contoured for the shoulder so it stays correctly in place. Otherwise, great purchase, would definitely buy it again.

This brand was recommended by my doctor, so we purchased it, worked great for the first 6 weeks after knee replacement. Followed all instructions for storing it, a few months later had a knee injury and took it out of closet to use and no water would come to pad, it lit up and went through all cycles but no water, tried all the trouble shooting responses,still not working reached out to Nehoo a few times but no response. I read reviews that they had awesome customer service, I think it’s the hoses clogged , but I don’t know how to fix it. So put it back in storage, now 1 yr later need opposite knee replacement , not sure if I want to give Nehoo another try or go with another brand.

I purchased this for using after total knee replacement. We had regular ice pack wraps as well so I wasn’t sure if we needed it, but this machine made a difference. It is quiet, and easy to use and clean. The cold water circulating is cooling and relaxing, so icing the knee doesn’t feel like a chore or another thing you have to do. The pad is able to wrap around the knee, and the different lengths of Velcro straps can be used to secure the pad in a comfortable way. I would buy this again, and have recommended it to several people already after three days of use. It is definitely worth the price.

First of all, this is only getting 4 stars because the temperature gauge failed after 1 week. Hubs called the company, and they immediately sent out another unit and told us not to bother sending the other one back. Keep in mind, the unit still works fine, just does not let you know when the ice needs to be changed because it's getting too warm. This is a handy little machine that will keep things cool for about half a day with 5 or 6 little ice bottles. It's not quite as cold as an ice pack, which is actually more comfortable, and you don't have to spend all day running back and forth and changing ice. I got the knee pad and use it instead of the universal pad, as I needed it after a knee replacement, so I can't say how well the universal pad works. It's nice that you can either run it for manual intervals or can set it to run for 30 minutes and then start up again in 30 minutes automatically. The straps are plenty long enough to wrap about your knee without cutting into it or making it uncomfortable. The velcro is a bit of a pain, because it wants to stick to everything, but it does it's job well. When the entire unit it working correctly, it will let you know when you need to change the ice bottles, because the temperature is too high. It still works just fine without it, though. My doctor called this a "luxury", but I think it's a necessity if you need to ice after surgery or an injury. Old-fashioned ice packs are such a pain, having to change them out constantly and having to keep enough of them to make sure there's always one cold. For the cost, it was well worth the money to me. The company's customer service was excellent, too.

11/17/22 Update: Outstanding customer service. Notified Waterloo of problems with the unit's pump and temp indication light not working after about 3 months, company immediately sent a complete replacement unit, no questions asked. Very polite, immediately responsive, and highly professional. Greatly pleased with this company, and still love the product. Original review: Bought the Nehoo machine for cold therapy after ACL reconstruction. Love it. I've had simar machines in past, maybe 7 years ago, and this is a step up. I like the control options, timer, and temperature indicator. Took some advice and used the approach of rotating out frozen water bottles, much easier, more convenient and less messy than just dumping in replenished ice. Had one complaint with the quick disconnects, tough to operate, difficult to engage. But seller quickly sent me replacement valves when I brought it to their attention. All and all a good product, been working basically problem free (except disconnects) with continuous use for two weeks. I expect it will last quite sometime. Highly recommend for people recovering from surgery.

Quality product. Timer makes it easy to not overdo cold therapy. Universal pad works great for any area of the body. The lines are insulated so the treatment stays cold for an entire 30 minute session. I did have trouble with a leaky line but the seller had me a new unit within a few days. Excellent seller and product.
