Using the cell phone app it took me 30-minutes to setup this printer. I did have a driver issue soon after completing installation that I quickly overcame. Not even sure what that was about but turned out not to be a major issue. This device is just as people say in the reviews. It's a little loud, perhaps a tad slow, but prints wonderful quality prints. I bought this Xerox printer after going back and forth between a Brother and Lexmark but ultimately chose this one due to it's size. It's big but not overly so and with any other laser printer I was going to have to make accommodations for space which I didn't have to do with this one. I don't like that you can't scan directly from the printer but using the "Xerox Print and Scan Experience" software it works flawlessly. Ink is going to be expensive down the road but I compared to other printers and frankly they are all expensive so it just is what it is. ... show more

I could not set it up with my iPhone 16 or 17 due to issues reading one of the barcodes. I did it with my Mac Pro after getting the printer onto my wifi network.

    • This was not the printer for me.
When the printer arrived, I was initially excited to receive it, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Upon opening the printer, it appeared to be used or refurbished rather than new. Additionally, when I opened the cartridge access door, it seemed defective. The hinges or support arms felt weak and would frequently jam, making it difficult to open and close smoothly. I was also dissatisfied with the printer's performance. The printing speed was much slower than I expected based on the product description. Furthermore, after printing fewer than 15 pages, the printer indicated that the ink was already running low, which was very concerning. Overall, the condition and performance of the printer did not meet my expectations for a new product and the cost. I'm sending it back. It so disheartening because I was always a Xerox fan but now, I'll find another brand. It's not worth it. ... show more

    • Ok printer, but setting up can be difficult.
Printer seems to work, but set up is not as good as it should be: 1: apparently Xerox has been bought by Lexmark so finding driver and downloads don’t work as indicated on the instruction manual and screen on the printer. 2: set up using QR code doesn’t work. Waiting icon forever. 3: need to set up manually. Afterwards instruction on how to download drivers doesn’t work as the Xerox printer model is not listed under Lexmark’s website. 4: scanner is only one sided, although the printer is duplex capable. 5: have to manually set up scanning function using Windows Scan app (from App Store). 6: USB port doesn’t recognize ExFat format. NTFS seems to work though. I bought this printer for $100 discount so I can’t complain too much. But the printer seems to have suffered from corporate buyouts and left users holding the bag. ... show more

This was a great investment for my home office! The price was to good to pass on, and Xerox is a durable and reliable brand that I'm familiar with. It was time to stop using inkjet printers and this laser printer was the better choice. It was east to setup too!

I have not had this long, but it was a joy to set up and connect to three devices. I am more tech savvy than average and I had some small issues connecting to laptops, but it didn't take long until things started working. It's small screen is touch-enabled which makes a lot of small admin tasks a lot easier that other similar printers I've owned. The main reason for me for providing a five stars review though is price. I really expected to find something undesirable with the quality for such a low price, but this seems to be a very excellent color laser MFP. Best of the three MFPs I've owned anyway. Great printer for all it features. However, why I didn't give it a 5 out of 5 was all the issues with the setup I had. To make a long story short about correcting the light printing. Read on Reddit about someone switched reams of paper and it printed fine/dark. I bought some Hammermill Premium Inkjet and Laserjet paper and the printing look great on that paper. With generic copy paper I was using on my other printer didn't work. Just looked washed out and faded. Additionally, I went into the setup and made sure I wasn't on Eco mode and a few other items to make sure I was getting the darkest print available. This took multiple days of trial and error and if it wasn't for that Reddit post, I would of probably sent the printer back. Additionally, there is an app to set up the printer. I got the app. Had issues where it kept saying the printer wasn't in setup mode. Once I got through that hurdle and set everything up on the app and hit the complete button, I got an error saying it couldn't save/set changes. So, I did everything in the front panel. Finally, (not the printer's fought) I had issues emailing from the printer. Turns out I had to add TXT record which added Google to the domain so I could email Gmail accounts. Again, not the printer's fought. Just another gotcha. All in all, once all the setup issues were corrected and I used the correct paper, the printer works like a dream. Great printing, copier works, scanner works (Windows 11 I used Scan which is by Microsoft and came from the Windows Store. Also, as stated, took me some time. But, I did get the email portion working as well. ... show more
