    • Great machine
I've had this machine about one and a half years. The lid lift stopped working so the used litter dumped onto the top of the collection box. I contacted customer support and after some back and forth with suggestions they sent me a new computer board and a new lid lift without cost. I finally got both installed two days ago and it is working again just like new. I agree with another review that a better product book would be helpful. The print is really small and hard to read. Taking the litter pan out and replacing it was slightly harder than I expected as fitting the edge into the slot was a little tricky. I did not see or read that there was an app to download until I heard from customer service. I did download it but the area for information I needed was not in my download and removing and downloading again made it worse. I ended up just using the machine as a regular litter box(unplugged) then plugging it back in, dug around to simulate cat behavior then it would process as normal while I held the collection lid up. When the program finished the raking and stopped I unplugged it again. All I did to switch litter box types was add a scoop of used litter to the Popur. My two cats transitioned without any problems. I have a digger so there is always litter on the floor. I did reduce the amount of litter I keep in the pan because of that. I will look into the higher front fence. I tried one of those collection mats but they jumped right over it, evidently didn't like the feel, which spread the litter farther around. My neighbor bought another more expensive brand which quit working. Their service was not very helpful, but she has it mostly working again by babying it. She paid $600! I am very happy with my Popur, so thank you customer service for your help! ... show more

    • Does not work at all
I had high hopes for the x5 cat box, but i am very disappointed. It does not stay connected to wifi so the app does not work. The problem is not the wifi. The firmware has been updated. The lid tries to open/adjust itself every 7 seconds, scaring the cat. The rake does not push the waste into the waste receptacle. Popur customer service has ignored my email requests for help fixing these problems. ... show more

    • We have 11 indoor cats and we love,love, love these boxes!
Our cats all love and use these litter boxes. We have 11 indoor cats including a Maine Coon cat and he is about 15/16 pounds, These litter boxes will work for large cats too. I liked the cardboard boxes but bought the hard plastic ones anyway. I never bought the ramp but mine all used it anyway. I change the bags every day with only two of the litter boxes plus one regular cat box. I like the bags from Popur too. I tried others but I went back to the Popur bags.     • Litter box works well but the app is a stinker
I have enjoyed my Popur for the most part, but there are a few things that need improvement. The litter seems too easy for the cats to kick out, so that becomes a vacuuming issue for me. My two cats fill the receptacle about every 10 days, considerably less than the 15 days Popur suggested (based on 30 days for 1 cat). 10 days is still a lot better than every day, certainly! Changing the bag is easy but I don't understand why they'd place the button to open the lid so near the floor - it should be on top of the device. And finally, I've all but given up on getting the app to stay connected to my wifi. It fails often and currently, I can't connect it at all, despite quite a bit of trying. So long as the box works, it's not the end of the world, I guess. ... show more

    • Cats like it...a little too much
Had this for over a month with a 2 cat household, only this little box used. One cat is young at 1 year and 9 lbs while the other is a bit older at 4 years and large at 15lbs, larger mix breed. Smell: keeps smell contained in the box! Issue is when the box opens during cleaning the smell is released and is horrendous. I add a little litter to the box to help dry it out in there as well as a litter deodorizer I used before this. Not bad at all! Size: machine is HUGE especially needing that extra compartment behind it. Hard to find a good spot to put it but I needed a large one for my large cat. He is 15lbs and BIG like he has some Maine coon in him or something. I had to remove the barrier in the front for him to feel comfortable using it still! Container: Says it holds for 30 days...I have 2 cats and the first bag lasted 3 weeks while they were getting used to it and the last one lasted a little over a week before I had to change it out. Either my cats are monsters in the potty or they expect a second litter box. Safety: I have a VERY curious cat. He tried to go underneath it while it tipped backwards. He watches it open and close to make sure it's properly handling his bits. He paws at the sifter because he knows how to place the litter better. SOMEHOW he hasn't gotten hurt and I'm so thankful for that. I tested if the machine could pinch on the way down and while it can it does stop and reopen if it senses something stopping it (I put a brush there to test it). The sifter does not stop when touched but it's so weak I'm more worried my cat will break it. Cleaning: the cardboard box was immediately ruined by cat urine that missed the box. I luckily bought the plastic one which should just automatically come with this thing honestly. All you have to do is wipe the things down they are all really easy to access and you can even do it while it's moving of it's hard for you to see. You can even lift the sifter if needed! App: I don't mind the app it has not broken on me yet. I did get the connectivity thing but I just closed and reopened the app and it worked fine. No issues with settings resetting or anything like other comments. Will update if anything else happens! ... show more

I bought this for my 2 cats. One cat had no issue at all. The other will not use it! I have tried EVERYTHING! so I now have to have 2 boxes. I was trying to avoid that. Defeated. It's very expensive and now I cant return it because it's used. An expensive risk!!
