I love the size and design so perfect for travel! One thing I’m not crazy about is silicone seal around the lid I think it’s giving kind of a faint unpleasant smell after boiling water in the kettle. The kettle works great 5-6 mins to boil. I’m keeping it even with the silicone seal because silicone is one of the more stable plastic materials that can handle high temperatures. I’m not too concerned with that as I would be if other kinds of plastic were near the boiling water/steam. Some kettles have plastic brackets inside them (not this onel) connecting the cover to the body and that is more concerning to me about the plastic breaking down and leeching micro plastic into the water overtime. To wrap it up I like this kettle it’s not an every day kettle for me but more so for travel and convenience. Oh!! I have to say, the extension cord is so short :( I wanted it to be a bedside kettle but it was way too short to reach from my outlet to my bedside table so I had to abandon that. It really is unusually short compared to the other electric kettles out there and I really wish they would lengthen it just by a few inches so buyers would have more choice where they can put it, as the locations of our outlets are pretty much fixed. ... show more
