Description

This edger works great. Our driveway hadn’t been edged in years. There was grass growing over onto the driveway by about 18” in some areas. This little edger handled it nicely. This WORX 12 Amp Electric Lawn Edger did exactly what I needed it to do. It was easy to use, had plenty of power for cleaning up the edges around my driveway and sidewalk, and gave the yard a much cleaner, finished look. I like that it is corded because I do not have to worry about batteries dying, and it has enough power for regular homeowner use. The first pass took a little extra time since the edges needed cleaned up, but once I got going, it worked great. Overall, this is a solid edger/trencher for the price, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting cleaner lawn edges without dealing with gas. ... show more

    • What a difference it makes! Better, sharper looking edge than with a trimmer.
I like this. It does a better job of edging than a strimmer can do. It is very apparent. It is simple to put together. I do struggle a bit with the lever that lowers to allow the machine to trench--I want that lever raised for NO trenching, and it likes to stay in the lower position. But now that I am aware of the lever's tendency to drop, I can keep an eye on it. Be aware that it lowers enough to grab at some underground wiring. It is powerful enough to cut through lawn edges that haven't been done in a few years. It will also cut through damp grass, but that is messy because the muddier ground clings to the blade. But it does the work, you'll just need to have a flat-edged shovel to pick up the pieces of ground and roots that sluff off. It is heavy duty, and weighty--as it should be. The blade does not dull easily. I'll only need to use it a few times a year, but it looks like it is going to last a long while. Great value, I think! ... show more

i was a little hesitant in buying this But im glad i did . This worked great, beats a weed wacker hands down what normally took two hours to trim took 45 min and it looks a lot nicer . no messing with string. A cordless would be nice but i was concerned a battery one would be a little under powered . This one has plenty of power ... show more

Considering how inexpensive this edger was it is undoubtable that there are higher-end models available. I was unwilling to spend a lot of money for an edger considering I have a section of sidewalk and street that doesn't amount to much edging work. Out of the box this edger was quick and easy to assemble. Within minutes I was out in my yard getting ready to edge. It is notable that I've owned a mower but have not had an edger since last year. Therefore it was very overgrown on the sidewalks and out towards the street. This edger did a great job cutting through the mess that my yard had become. ... show more

    • Well Made Electric Lawn Edger and Trencher.
I currently own one of these and works very well for both trenching and as an edger. Its not to heavy and definitely made well. Not to loud and very versatile. The instructions explain it all. No battery Charging, but just a 100 foot extension cord will get the job done. I would buy it again also.

I love this machine, the motor is strong, it makes a clean cut (even on thick grass), it is easy to push but I have two complaints. 1. The blade guard goes down too far in the back and catches on thick grass making it hard to get a clean cut. I am going to see it it can be adjusted otherwise I will cut some off with my saws all. 2. The guide to keep the blade from hitting the sidewalk does not seem to go deep enough when the blade height is set to the 1inch setting. ... show more

This edger is awesome. Easy to put together. Intuitive. I put it together inside of 10 minutes. Shifted the edger "guide" down, and went to work. This corded electric model is WAYYY cheaper than the battery powered (or gas powered) models, and is absolutely up to the task. Lightweight and maneuverable. Quiet. Easy to store. The motor got a little "bound" when I tried to edge too fast, but the manual had clearly warned me on this - to back up, let the blade get back up to speed, and then edge again.
