Description

The powerful 16” 14.5 Amp Electric Chainsaw is packed with modern conveniences that make it easy to use. The auto-tensioning and auto-lubrication systems make sure this saw is always in peak operating condition. These features provide the user with a perfectly tightened and well-oiled chain, which not only significantly increases the cutting efficiency, but also extends the life of the tool. And the built-in oil tank has a window, so you can see just how much oil you have left. The chain brake shuts the chain down quickly when you need it to. The metal spike bumper grabs into the wood so you have a safer, smoother cut. And the specially designed full-wrap front handle and rear rubber grip give you options to find a comfortable hand-hold. This saw has a 14” cord. The extension cord holder keeps them out of the way and lets you unravel more as you need to. And it’s only 11 lbs without the oil, so anyone can carry it around the yard and use it for long periods. The 14.5 Amp motor uses a 120V~60 Hz power supply and spins the chain at 32 ft/s. The 16” chain will fell a standing tree of 16” in diameter and easily cut up a 30” log that is already on the ground. That chain has 57 links, and a pitch of 3/8”, and a gauge of 0.05”. This is a rugged chainsaw, made so that anyone can tackle backyard projects with confidence.

  • Ten Star Stellar Product, Company, Employees, and Warranty!
Style: 16" 14.5Amp Electric Chainsaw
I'm giving them ten stars! Here's why! I've owned it 2 years, so far. 1. Best chain saw I've ever owned. Worked strong and fast through all the trees I've needed to cut over past 2 years. That includes 2 tornado events a year apart. Probably cut down and cut up 20 trees, Many 3' in diameter, from around my cabin and my farmhouse. Now I live in Houston. This past weekend, Hurricane Harvey came to visit and stayed too long. We got the tropical winds and 40"+ of rain. Miracle of miracles, I only need to cut up one pecan branch about 20' long and 9" in diameter. I had forgotten that last time I used it, the clutch gave up just as I was done. Didn't know what was in store for me in trying to get a part for it or if the warranty was still good or what good it was for... It was ALL GOOD! 2. Never ran out of gas or failed to start because of bad gas! My 100' extension cord has always been enough, I could reach all the trees just fine! If I had to, I might use a longer, heavier cord to reach further. 3. Never got tired pulling that dang starter cord! There IS NO starter cord! 4. Plenty of power, yet light weight. 5. Easiest bar and chain adjuster ever in the world. 6. Long-ass warranty. I think it's 3 years. I'm 2 weeks shy of 2 years. The clutch went bad... can't say as I'd blame it. It's been working really hard. I called up and for $17.50, they're gonna ship me a replacement unit. I don't have to box up mine and send it to them. They said I could keep it for parts or recycle it. Well, heck yeah, I'm gonna keep it for parts. You bet. I'm in the Hurricane/Tropical Storm Harvey area of Houston and when they heard that, they gave me expedited shipping, too! NO EXTRA CHARGE. Usual charge for 3-day Fed EX is only $10.50. But that bit of kindness really helped me during this stressful time. 7. Online chat rep immediately gave me the return info. Was pleasant, quick, and didn't ask any questions other than address and model number. 8. I had to call the office for the payment. They were so kind and helpful. I was amazed at the quality of service. 9. 2 years and all the trees and I'm still on the first chain!!!! Nice! 10. This dang thing only cost me $75 bucks and had free Prime Shipping! O.M.G. 11. No pulling it out of the shed only to find it full of bad gas and having to drain the tank and carb and clean it all out and mix and refill with new gas and get all smelly... only to do the same thing six months later when I needed it again. Didn't happen. So I guess, it's really an 11 star rating like the amps in This Is Spinal Tap. Today I'm beginning to clean up with over six million other Texans and we have long memories. In this case, I'm holding onto my long memory of the quality of this product, the company, the staff, and the warranty! Don't mess with Texas or Worx, Y'all! Worx worx and if it quits Worx gets ya back working! Hard to ask for more. ... show more

  • Great Choice
Style: 16" 14.5Amp Electric Chainsaw
I have owned gas powered chain saws, they can be difficult to use,i.e., dealing with the small gas engines and tensioning the saw chain, potentially unsafe. This saw is wonderful. The gas engine, the noise, the fumes, the gas, the continually starting and restarting the engine while the wood/limbs are re-positioned is exchanged for an extension cord. The safety offered by the design of the double-switch system, ensures your have to want the saw to operate in order for it to operate. The added safety feature of the kick back chain break is not a feature I have had in other saws, and a feature I did not activate in my first use of the saw. My experience says the extension cord is a small price to pay for the benefit of no gas engine. I have read reviews of this saw by others who have said they would rather use this than a gas saw even if they have to use a portable generator....having used this saw I understand their comment.....they are right! The power of the saw is amazing, not surprising in retrospect since the virtue of an electric motor, particularly one that is properly designed for this service is its torque, something very difficult to achieve with a small gas motor. The chain tension device worked as advertised....just make sure you read the directions carefully on its use, then you won't be disappointed. It is easy to use, effective, just read the directions. I am 65 years old in good physical condition and found the saw easy to use on downed limbs from recent storm damage. The lack of noise, and smooth power from the saw is a blessing, and as I said it only runs when you want it to and not when don't. In the past, I would have to find a safe and conveniet place to start the gas saw and then bring it running to my work position....not with this saw. The automatic oiler worked as advertised, used little oil, but then again the saw only works when you turn it on. I used Husqavarnah chain oil and it worked fine. The chain is sharp, invest in leather gloves to use with the saw particularly when checking the chain tension. ... show more

  • Best choice for my small jobs
Style: 16" 14.5Amp Electric Chainsaw
I have a gas-powered Stihl chainsaw that's only about a year old. It's more than I need most of the time. In fact, it's more than I will ever need at all. All I ever need to do is cut up the occasional tree limb that falls in a storm--and only if it's just the smaller limbs. If it's a large tree, I'll call an arborist. In addition, the Stihl is a pain to start. You have to do the Stihl-starting procedure dance. That is, pull the cord...nothing happens...try again...flood engine...take out the plug...clear the excess fuel...put the plug back in...pull cord and it will start. Works this way every time. Every. Single. Time. If you're just a city dweller with a couple of trees that occasionally drop limbs, why try to be the neighborhood woodsman? You're not going to need to clear a forest any time soon. It's time to find a simple alternate method. The Worx saw is the answer for me. It's the right size for the urban lumberjack. It's lightweight and it doesn't require knowing the steps to the Stihl dance to crank it. The only negative comment I have is to be aware that the chain may not be tight when you get the saw. I didn't inspect it closely enough and the first time I took it out to cut up a tree limb, the chain jumped off. I was a bit put out but realized it was as much my fault as the manufacturers. Once I got it back on and properly adjusted, it cut smoothly and quickly. No, it's not as powerful as the gas-powered Stihl. But it's powerful enough and it's all I'll ever need. I've got a nice Stihl chainsaw up for sale now. ... show more
