Description

The Worx Nitro WX891L 20V Power Share 25’ Cordless Drain Auger is easier to use for clearing tough clogs than a hand-operated plumbing snake and is much less expensive than calling a plumber each time you have a difficult drain to clear. Part of the Worx Nitro Series of battery-operated tools, outdoor power and lifestyle products, which are engineered to provide more power, greater performance, and better run times than other battery-powered tools on the market. The Nitro Drain Auger provides up to 560 RPM to break up the toughest stoppages, and the variable speed trigger gives the user control to find the best speed for the job at hand. (Different pipes, drains, and clog types require different speeds to clear effectively.) This drain auger was built to handle drains up to 2 in. wide and is perfect for toilets, bathtubs, sinks, downspouts and more. It’s easy to use. It weighs only 9.2 lbs., so almost anyone can operate it. The 25 ft. ¼ in.-diameter steel cable extends and retracts automatically, so you don’t need to feed it down the drain like you do with a plumbing snake. And this drain auger is cordless, so you eliminate the hassle or hazard of tripping over or getting snagged on a cord. Chemical cleaners can be dangerous and less effective, plumbing snakes require a lot of manual labor and can damage pipes, while the Nitro Drain Auger pays for itself after just one use compared to the rates that a plumber charges. Tool Only - Battery/Charger Sold Separately

  • Feels professional; reasonable price
For years I had a manual auger, but it got hung up in a bad pipe and the wire got kinked. Instead of buying another manual one, I decided to try a MUCH nicer one. We already have a lot of Worx batteries (for a mower and a succession of trimmers) so I didn't need to buy a battery. This unit is quite nicely designed. It's quite a bit easier to be able to have the motor turn and push the auger down the pipe than the manual kind. 25 feet doesn't sound like a long distance, but it's probably long enough for the vast majority of home plumbing clogs. If you need to go farther, it probably needs a large auger like the plumber carries in the big van. If I had a complaint, it would be that the instructions aren't as clear as I'd like about how to lubricate and store the cable after using it. I saw a couple of different recommendations in different places. So far it hasn't been a problem, as far as I can tell. ... show more

  • Indispensable for a 1942 vintage home.
If you have those old, galvanized pipes this device will help to clear those blockages. Saves me from calling the plumber for hair clogs!

  • Hope to like it more
I do like this auger for the money however the workings of it can be somewhat confusing. I like Worx products and hopefully get this tool down pat. Used it once so far and it didn’t open the drain problem. I tried 4 times but to no avail.

  • NOT USED YET
NOT USED YET everything I thought it would be . 5/13/2024 used it in a 3inch pvc going from the house to the septic tank . What I did is attach three loop ties to the head and that seems to help some cleaning out the pipe . The house is 47 years old with the tank settling I guess 4 to 6 inches over the years . the 3 inch pipe has a kink at the foundation and a squashed diameter . The end in the tank is below the effluent tank level getting stopped up at that point and then back up from there . Good thing I can work that worx auger to the cows come home and ream it out with my best battery . You would think 30 miles from Nashville ,Tennessee I could find a plumber who wants to work but NOOOO. ... show more

  • No battery or charger.
Mine didn't come with a battery OR charger. Now I'm trying to figure out how to return it. Not much use without a battery or charger.

  • Saved me money.
I haven’t had it for a long time. However, my bathroom sink was plugged up bad and I was thinking of calling a plumber. I ordered this Worx tool and within 10 minutes of its arrival, I had the clog cleared. I’m guessing it saved me $150 to $200 plumber cost.
