Took me three orders to find the right item but this thing is amazing. Haven’t tried with the drill yet but it was easy enough by hand. Wish it was a little longer as the 16.5ft goes in quicker than you know but overall does the job. Price wasn’t bad either. Be sure to wipe off as you are return the line to the snake itself.

We live in a home built on a concrete slab in 1960 - so 65 years ago. Obviously the sewage/drain piping is old. Replacing any of the pipes under the slab is a big deal, so regular maintenance is needed. The original drain pipe size is reduced by rust, scale, debris attachment, etc. over the years. All in all, we are careful, but still have one shower drain that is problematic. Once or twice a year, the water drains more slowly than the water coming out of the shower head. We know it isn't a problem with hair buildup in the trap as we weekly treat the trap with 1/2 cup of bleach that dissolves it. Every year I spend about $150 to $300 to have a plumber come and power snake the line. He never pulls anything out so I'm positive it is just scale build up that reduces the interior of the pipe and cuts down on its ability to drain quickly enough. I'm 80 years old and was able to put a stool in the shower, sit down, and power snake the line - in - out - in - out - for about fifteen minutes using the forward and reverse function of the POPULO unit to cover the full 16 foot length of the snake just sitting on the stool. Just releasing the trigger and my grip on the control, let me rest my hands as needed and then start up where I left off without a problem. After just one thorough session, the shower now drains well with no build up. This will be a quarterly maintenance procedure for me so I won't have any future problems. If this is the type of problem you have, remember that you must run enough water during and after using the Populo to flush the broken off debris down to the sewer so it doesn't remain in the line and cause a blockage later. I am really pleased at the power and battery strength of this unit. I saved enough money on the first use to treat my wife and I to a nice dinner out!

The drain snake does work as advertised. Advances easily into drain as you turn or provide power. Snake does not retract fully into unit without forcing its retraction by hand. The requirement that the snake must be clean, dry and lubed to prevent rust before retracting is at best a dirty pain. Update 2/3/26 The seller reached out to me unsolicited. He has completely resolved the issue beyond any expectations I had. I would without a doubt deal with this seller again.

Heavy duty. Does the job more than once. I have bought other brands that break on the first use. It actually screws the snake forward instead of just spinning it like other products. Having the drill built in is nice. Ones you attach to a drill will work but the drill often comes off. This is all in one. Battery life was plenty even for a major clog.
