First, and for most... Is that these are affordable and quality. I am a medically retired paramedic. So, I have these on hand at home in case I need to start an IV fluid resuscitation on myself or one of my family members these IV extension tubes are fantastic to have when starting an IV line. This allows you to have a pigtail that comes off of your IV catheter so that you can connect other lines or medications and not have to jar the actual IV Catheter. These sell for $36.00 for 30. That's $1.222 for each one! Normally you will pay around $5.00 each for the same product. I have not had any issues with these up to this point. I have not had any failures or damaged extensions. I will definitely return to purchase additional extension sets as soon as I need them. ... show more

This 30 pack extension set is confusing to me. Am I to assume that they are sterile without autoclaving or putting through gas sterilization? There is an indicator dot on the back of each package, which just has under it the words “red – blue“. The dot that is present there is blue, but does that mean that it is sterile? I also don’t like the fact that, while the one end is capped with a small white plug like piece, the other side is not capped at all, and is open. Therefore, as soon as you remove it from the packaging, it may touch a surface accidentally and become un sterile. I also found the packaging rather difficult to open. Normally, I expect the packaging to easily be pulled peeled back carefully, thus allowing you to leave the object on the sterile side of the paper while you prepare to use it. However, in opening up several of these, I found the paper backing always tore rather than peeled apart from the clear plastic side well. I am a bit disappointed, but will most likely try other ways of opening the package to maintain its sterility, if indeed they are sterile to begin with, or until I find out otherwise. ... show more
